This was our first stay in a B&B in the US and ha do idea what to expect, but can safely say that we were not disappointed. It's a long way off the main road, up a very narrow bumpy road, so when arriving just as it was getting dark the owner offered us a light supper of salami, cheeses etc, we jumped at it. If this was not enough, we could also have helped ourselves from the well stocked honour snack bar (it even had some meals that you could cook in the microwave).
We were very lucky to be the only people staying there that night and as the owner lives somewhere else we had the run of the house, which was really nice. Rather like staying in an enormous suite.
Next morning the sun was shining and we could see down to the sea and up to the snow capped Mauna Kea mountain from the huge gardens. Breakfast was excellent and we were disappointed that we had only booked to stay for the one night.More
