“A great spot for relaxed dining”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 31, 2013

Great food, great service and beautiful surroundings make for a relaxing experience. Brunch is great. Eggs Benedict superb, French Toast delectable. Lunch or dinner are also great choices. Fresh ingredients from local vendors are also a plus. Mango mimosas are yummy. Family friendly! Wine list available with organic wines.

“Comfortable out of the way lunch spot with fresh ingredients”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 29, 2013

We had heard of this place and decided to try it out. Most of the seating is outdoors in a nice garden. It is laid back and slow, with plenty of time to relax and soak in the scenery. The food was fresh and nice.

“Funky, out-of-the-way lunch spot!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 24, 2013

We arrived about 15 minutes before lunch service ended, so our experience may not be typical. We were the only guests in the entire place, and we noticed workers departing while we reviewed the menu. That felt a bit odd. Our server, however, was friendly and efficient. I opted for the prix fixe lunch -- a divine roasted pepper soup with crostini, an ENORMOUS half serving of their yummy fresh tuna melt and a moist and delicious carrot cupcake. I was so (pleasantly) stuffed I skipped dinner that night. My husband had the ahi over salad greens. He was asked if he wanted it seared or cooked through. He requested that it be cooked through. It arrived seared. Since our server departed after placing the plates on the table (and it sounded like kitchen had closed up), he just ate around the edges. Fortunately, I had enough tuna salad to share. Bottom line: I really enjoyed my meal, he was disappointed. Though our server was friendly, we felt like our arrival 15 minutes before closing must have been an inconvenience because we felt quite rushed (back in the car in under 30 minutes). Maybe they should officially close earlier or keep staff on hand a little later. Re: Holualoa -- We'd visited galleries here about 30 years ago and were looking forward to poking around. Unfortunately, they're all closed on Monday, the day of our visit :-(

“Yum! A foodie paradise”

Great place to hide in the shade on the verdant outdoor patio. Food was awesome and Daniel was an excellent server. Nice cocktail, beer and wine list too. Wish we could've had lunch there each day.
