We visited on a weekday at about 3 pm. A couple of school tours were just leaving and very few other people were there.
My 8yo and 10yo (and the adults with them) enjoyed the many interactive exhibits and information boards on astronomy, traditional wayfinding, Hawaiian culture, etc. We also really enjoyed the Cyber Canoe presentation, which was an hour-long session where the audience could ask questions of a staff member on particular areas of interest. Our group learned a lot about the climates and orbits of many other planets.
An enjoyable activity in air-conditioning after a long day outside.
