My friends and I are staying at this lovely Inn. It is located up the hillside just enough to see beautiful views of the Hilo Bay. Gay, the host is very helpful and informative about places to venture, depending on the time you have allotted. She also has wonderful stories about Hawaiian lore. She will even entertain you with a little Hula. Breakfast has been amazing with fresh fruit and wonderful main dishes such as French toast and a banana pancake as big as a skillet! The space ( upper floor) we stayed in was the Samurai Suite and it was spacious with incredible views and very comfortable beds. I highly recommend Hilo Honu Inn.

We enjoyed staying at the Hilo Honu Inn very much. We had a great suite of rooms which were very spacious. Gay was great at helping us arrange our days especially when it was rainy. We would happily stay there again.

Gay is a charming, interesting hostess of this B & B and helped make our stay enjoyable. The house is quite charming, especially the top-floor room (which we didn't book, unfortunately, but would if there were to be a second visit there.) Our room was comfortable and breakfast was delicious. Overall a good experience.

We spent four nights in Honu's Nest and enjoyed our stay immensely. It's the smallest of the three rooms, but it's fine for two people, and offers plenty of storage space. The bed was quite comfortable, We slept well, enjoying the light breeze (there's good cross ventilation although AC is available if you need it). The breakfast was excellent and plentiful.
The inn was originally home to a large family and dates from the early 1930s, I believe. It has been lovingly restored by the current owner, Gay. She's a font of information about Hilo and the Big Island, and particularly knowledgeable about hula. Staying here is a delight!

Spent four wonderful nights in Samurai Suite. The bed was amazing (and we are very picky). The space is beautiful with a great ocean view. Breakfast every morning was delicious and Gay was very accommodating of our restrictions. She was such a wonderful host and helped us plan our adventures every morning with lots of great tips. Can't recommend this enough! Thanks for making the beginning of our trip so special! We hope to be back❤
