The beach is largely rocky with a grassy patch behind. We went on a Sunday and it was busy with locals. Lots of folk surfing & boogie boarding. a little too rough to swim when we were there and wasn't great for the kids but it was fun to watch the surfers and it made a nice change to sit on grass rather than rock or sand!! There are lifeguards on duty and public conveniences.
