“excellent food”
Reviewed August 1, 2010

We had a late dinner after the July fourth fireworks. The food was wonderful!
There was one problem, though. Our appetizer never came. We cancelled the appetizer when our dinners came, but the waitress brought it later, "on the house." The wine and beer selection was fantastic. A great idea on the beer menu was the ability to sample three different beers instead of ordering just one.

“Skip it”
Reviewed July 17, 2010

The rosemary-gorgonzola salad dressing was great, although the salad greens tasted very bitter to me. The soups of the day sounded like they were trying too hard to be pretentious (green pepper soup?). I tried the eggplant/artichoke/sun-dried-tomato calzone and was disappointed that the eggplant was tough and chewy, and the calzone was pretty small for the price. The presentation was lovely, but I'd rather have food be excellent than beautiful if it's one or the other. Maybe I would have been better off ordering a pizza. Thank goodness they had hot tea to end the evening well.

“$20 for 2 ounces of fish”
Reviewed July 14, 2010

Was very disappointed. Ordered the fish special of the day "Seared Ono". I"m not kidding, 2 0z of fish for $20+. It was the fish on top of 6 fat french fries, on top of cole slaw. Weird! Fish was overcooked. When i said to the waiter, there is only 2 oz of fish, he said fish was expensive (in Hawaii?). Pizza was good and service was ok. Environment and bread was not terribly exciting for an italian place. Tourist rip-off!
