I went to this place on the advice of a friend and after looking at reviews. It was not good at all. I had a mix of nigiri, rolls and odds and ends. To begin, the fish was not fresh and was cut poorly - the hamachi and tako are the worst I have ever had in 20 years of eating sushi; the hamachi was half blood line and the tako was like rubber. The rice was old and generally flavorless. The miso soup was straight out of a package, with lifeless cubes of tofu introduced, apparently to fool the unsupecting. The service was slow, partly due the fact that one of the servers is pregnant and on the phone most of the time. And finally, the place is generally filthy; the health department should have a look at the bathrooms, which give any bus depot a run for its money.
Whoever claims this is "great sushi" likely has not had very good sushi before. Perhaps this place was pretty good in the past, as some reviewers have stated. However, just because a place is a hole in the wall and has cheap food does not mean it is good.
