We had the tasting menu ($38 per person) which was a superb way to get familiar with some of the offerings. This is excellent fresh sushi, not the fancy combo rolls (like 'spider' or "volcano") This is pure, quality, raw fish on rice. They offer some rolled options also. If raw fish is not for you, this place is not a good choice but if it is, well, you cannot do better than this place on this island. Simply the highest quality sushi, expertly prepared and served.
It is nearly impossible to get in without a reservation as the restaurant holds only 8-10 people. The green tea is also of exceptional quality.
Note, I believe that if items on the tasting menu were ordered individually, it is less than the $38 charged as most pieces of sushi are $2 or $2.50 per piece. On the tasting menu you get 9 pieces and one 6 pc roll ($5-6). So my calculation is that the tasting menu would have been a maximum of $28 rather than $38...but then we would not have known what to order. Next time we'll do it by the piece.
