This is a beautiful beach! It does have access and lifeguards, a clean place to change/bath house. Saw a few large turtles on the rocks eating. Would be a great spot for picnicking.

A good black sand/rock beach with narrow but easy access to the water. It is protected from the open sea by a lagoon and has some good snorkelling. There are rock pools to spot turtles in, parking, showers & toilets. There is a fair amount of shade if you want it. At the mouth of the lagoon there is a spot to boogie board. It gets horribly busy on the weekends! It is on the Keukaha bus route so pretty easy to get to. You can probably keep everyone happy here!

This black sand beach is gorgeous! We saw three huge sea turtles there. Although the black sand areas are quite small, there are some amazing rock formations to climb on which offer breathtaking ocean views.

this park is pretty close to the hostel that I was staying so we decided to check it out around sunset. we happened to bump into a Hawaiian monk seal (endangered species), according to the volunteer who was watching the seal, it was pretty rare to see them on the beach so we were pretty lucky.

At the back of the park, there is a great spot to see green turtles. We saw a family of 6 turtles when we were there. It is also a great spot to see the wave breaks at the shoreline.
