We booked three seats on a boat named Pro Cat by Taco Del Mar LLC. We drove 2.5 to 3 hours to the opposite side of the island to the area where the boat was. Check-in time was 5:00 and departure time was 5:30 for the sunset tour. We arrived about 4:30, saw the boat in the parking lot, and looked around the area for 20 minutes before going to the boat. As we arrived at 4:50 (10 min. before check-in time), the boat was being moved to the launch. We followed to the launch and watched it zoom out into the harbor.
We asked the man who was with the boat trailer what had happened. He tried to convince us that a much smaller boat with two lawn chairs per side duct-taped together for seating was the boat we were supposed to be on. He did finally admit that he had taken two other people instead of the three of us, but that we were to go out on the smaller boat.
Luckily, one of the boat's motors was not working so the driver of it was not willing to take us out. The man with the boat trailer had done some fancy talking to even get the man with the smaller boat to consider taking us. He lied to us and tried to get the other man to go along with the lie.
We called Lobo Del Mar LLC and were told that the captain of the Pro Cat and the man with the Pro Cat's trailer had both made errors and we would be refunded as of that night. It is nine days later and the refund still has not shown up to my credit card company.
The actions of the people we encountered leave us with no confidence in the credibility of this company. BEWARE!
