Here's a charming little place that serves a great breakfast! Dining at The Coffee Shack is like being in a cozy tree-house, surrounded with vines, flowers and a lovely view. Food is served in generous portions by genial waitresses. Prices are reasonable and everything is fresh and little bit funky (in a good way!). Little bright green gekkos keep you entertained as they scoot around looking for crumbs. A very fun way to start your day.

Located on the hillside overlooking the ocean. About 1 mile south of the Post Office. Limited parking but if you drive south 300 feet, you can park parallel to traffic. There's room for about 6 more vehicles on the roadside. Outstanding fresh food and the ocean view will knock your socks off. Great coffee. Very attentive and friendly staff. Very reasonable prices. Their Papaya Special breakfast is fantastic. One-half fresh papaya filled with cubed mellon and pineapple and topped with fresh yogurt. Side of scrambled eggs and a fresh coconut muffin. How do you beat that?

My wife and I stopped here on our way to Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau it is fairly close. The best thing about this place is definitely the view. The restaurant overlooks the beautiful Hawaiian coast. Our sandwiches were fairly good and the portions were plentiful. A little expensive for sandwiches is our only real complaint.

Amazing views and amazing food - We ordered the Cinnamon Roll, Kona Eggs and Eggs Benedict. Everything was delicious. Our server was very friendly as was the rest of the staff we saw. This was one of the best places we ate on the island.
