A friend told me about Super J's and I'm so glad he did! This tiny place has the most delicious pork dish I've ever had. It's a Hawaiian traditional favorite called 'Lau Lau' and even if you aren't a pork fan you won't be sorry you tried this one. Pieces of pork tenderloin are flavored with mild spices and wrapped with taro leaves into small packets and then pressure steamed for hours. It is served with macaroni- potato salad and rice. This is the specialty of the house and few other menu items are offered. The restaurant is family owned and operated and has been featured on ‘Food Network’. Not a place for people expecting fancy atmosphere, you’ll eat on picnic tables elbow to elbow with the locals. Loved Super J’s!
