This place was recommended by several sources and we were really looking forward to trying it. Very busy, very popular and a local landmark just outside Jackson. We had breakfast, which is supposed to be their forte. Frankly, it wasn't all that great and not worth the wait. Pancakes are very good but the rest of the eggs, sausage, etc., pretty pedestrian, nothing we couldn't have at a half dozen places at home. Service people not very interested.

We visited Nora's earlier this month. Nora's is always busy and if you go expect at least a short wait. The waiter was friendly but rushed. Once we ordered the food came out quickly however the short stack of pancakes was only one slice of bread and the toast with my husband's eggs was three half slices of bread. Odd proportions, but decent. Next time we are in the area we will probably search for somewhere else.

We heard great things about Nora's and decided to go for breakfast on our way out of town. As are most places that people rave about in small towns, the service was extremely slow and the waitresses didn't seem to think of it as a problem. When there isn't much competition then they don't have to go too far out of their way. Anyway, they had a great selection of breakfast options. I had the egg white omelet with basil, tomatoes, and mozzarella; my husband had the biscuits and gravy (amazing - they are super rich with what tastes like tons of butter and heavy cream); our friends shared the breakfast burrito and the banana nut bread french toast and enjoyed it. We also ordered the sweet roll and it was good. Other than the slow service, we really enjoyed our breakfast at Nora's.

It's like going back in time at Nora's. we have eaten here for breakfasts and dinners and enjoy the laid back atmosphere and the food is good. It's a good value on both accounts.
