The Pines has been serving up excellent food these past few years. Even among locals this is not widely appreciated. Don't assume you can't get good food at a country club. This is among the best food in the valley. During summer the town restaurants are packed and food quality/service suffers. I'm a long time local. When I want a good meal on a balmy summer night, the Pines is my go to place. Nice covered, screened patio. Not much of a view.

Teton Pines doesn't institute summer prices or policies until the end of June so it was a real bargain to play it on June 11. Though the weather threatened, it was a great day for golf and the course was in wonderful shape. By and large, a decent drive makes the course pretty easy, but woe to ye who stray off the fairway. This course punishes mistakes. The greens were a little hard to read but putted true.

Without question this place is head and shoulders above JHGT. You can really tell the difference in a course owned by its members and a course owned by a company. Although the lady in the pro shop is about as mean and least genuine as they come, you're only in there to pay and get out on the course. Some of the rough is a bit long and makes it tough to find a ball that's not in the fairway, but that adds to the difficulty. Maintenance is always perfect. Wouldn't golf anywhere else.

Great food. order any thing off the menu and you will be very pleased. Meals are a bit pricey but service is superb. Country Club atmosphere is upscale.
