Beautiful setting and extremely well kept. Clean and restful. Each cabin is artfully designed and accommodating. We went out of our way to return there to stay another night. The managers/owners are very friendly and offer great service. On one stay she made blueberry pancakes for breakfast. If you get a chance to stay there you won't be disappointed.

We decided to stay at the Cabin Creek Inn while we visited Star Valley for a wedding, and were awestruck once we got our cabin. The log cabins each have a different theme, and are very well well maintained. They give you the outdoors mountainous theme, with very nice amenities. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom looked brand new, to include an awesome shower and jet tub. For the price, I would say this is unquestionably the best overall place to stay in Star Valley, and I would even recommend this establishment for those visiting Jackson Hole, which is about a 40 minute scenic drive away. It was simply one of the most pleasant surprises we've had while traveling... We will definitely stay here again when we're in the area, and give it a big thumbs up!!!

Very clean and very modern log cabins. These are individual cabins so no shared walls with a louldly snoring or obnoxious neighbor. Beds and bedding were excellent. Super convenient and large laundry room next to the office was appreciated, as was the great continental breakfast. Across the street is a large grocery store and Wells Fargo Bank. Rates were reasonable and much better than the crowded, worn out rooms further north in Jackson.

A real winner!

It's hard to believe they opened in 1998. The place looks brand new. It's affordable, comfortable, and quiet. If I had to complain about something, it would be that my wife did not enjoy the mounted deer on the wall over the bed.
We stayed 3 nights. The cost to drive an hour to Jackson was FAR cheaper than staying in Jackson. And it's a lovely drive. Even at 6:00 am to make it to our 7:30 raft adventure.
Stay here. You won't regret a thing.

Room Tip: All the rooms are decorated differently. Ours had a deer mounted over the bed.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write a review of our property! We certainly enjoyed having you as a guest and are happy you felt your stay was a good value. We just wanted to point out to any future or potential guests that the cabin you stayed in, #18 "The Hunting Camp," is our only cabin out of nineteen that contains a deer mount as part of the decor.

Thanks again! We hope you'll be able to stay with us again in the future.

We stayed at the Cabin Creek Inn for one night on our way to Jackson which was another hour's drive coming from Utah. Most notable was the cost which was a third to a quarter of what we paid in Jackson. The rooms were very clean, the beds comfortable and the kitchenette had a fridge and microwave. My wife appreciated the bathtub/shower combination which we didn't get in Jackson. The breakfast was filling with the standard fruit, waffles, cereal, etc. The staff was most cordial/helpful and gave us some great tips on hiking nearby (i.e. the largest intermittent spring in the U.S.) and local shopping (great quilt/fabric store in Afton). For the expense, it would be tempting to stay in Thayne and then visit Jackson/Yellowstone during the day. We had no disappointments in our stay.

A superb one night stop with an excellent 'continental breakfast' to fill anyone up. The rooms are all individually designed, ours was 'The Hunting Camp' and contained all the amenities required. The hotel is situated just opposite a large supermarket where you can stock up with necessaries for your trip into the parks.

After traveling 7 days & 5 different motels, this was the best on our trip! Located 1 hr south of Jackson, WY, it was SO worth the drive. The individual cabins are SO cute, quiet & pleasant to stay in. No hearing the next door or above you neighbor. The owners are very, very pleasant & helpful. Breakfast was way more than a Continental breakfast. I wished we could have stayed another night & enjoyed the Inn & the area.

Room Tip: Each room has it's own theme! We stayed in the Settlers Room, what a fun & unique place.
