My wife and I stayed here on a trip to Jackson for skiing. Our first day flight was cancelled less than 10 hours before it was scheduled to leave and the Hotel Terra management was remarkably accomodating and we are very appreciative. Once we arrived we found all the staff there very pleasant and helpful.

We stayed in one of the more basic rooms which was just large enough to handle the spce needed to suit up for the slopes each day. The equiptment valet service was very helpful so that skis, poles, and snowboards did not need to be stored in the room. And the jacuzzi tub was quite a pleasure after a long day of boarding. As were the infinity hot tub and rooftop jacuzzi.

The Hotel Terra Cafe serves an awesome breakfast (we recommend the Powderhound Breakfast Wrap). Lunch was very good as well. Also great were the afternoon speacials at the Ostero Italian Restaurant located in the hotel (the 4-cheese grilled cheese with tomato soup was amazing).

If eco-consciousness is important to you, it is a major theme of the hotel. From recycled glass bathroom countertops to reused seatbelts in cafe seating to repurposed wooden support beams, environmental consciousness is big here.

The spa was great as well. Very romantic couples massage room with fireplace was wonderful.

Hotel Terra does it right! I booked our stay based on the Trip Advisor reviews (then, they were only #2 in Teton Village) because it looked to be a different experience from the rest of the hotels in the Village. We were celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary and the hotel went above and beyond to make it special. From “happy anniversary” greetings at the front desk and spa, to the cupcakes and card in our suite, to champagne and chocolate-dipped strawberries that awaited us after our couples massage. The hotel did a great job in communicating to everyone on staff to make this a special stay for us. We stayed in a studio suite and loved it! Yes, there is a lot of furniture in the room, but to us it felt like a cozy home because of the well-appointed kitchen, large comfy couch and awesome gas fireplace. We liked that the bed was not a focal point in the room and we could pull it down when we needed it.

Besides these special touches, I could tell Terra goes above and beyond on a daily basis. The concierge is knowledgeable and friendly. For example, we asked for a taxi to be called and they told us to relax in our room until it arrives – they called our room to let us know so we weren’t hanging out in the lobby. The housekeeping staff was super friendly and provided turndown service. The Chill Spa is on the smaller size, but is very relaxing and has a staff that ensures a memorable and zen experience. There is a wonderful heated pool that overlooks the Village and acts like a large hot tub après ski (very nice not to be rubbing knees with strangers in a standard hot tub). Free popcorn is delivered to your room when you order a movie. Free in-room wireless internet, which was always fast when we were using it. There is a delicious restaurant (La Osteria) that you can dine in or have delivered to your room. La Osteria is one of the best restaurants in the Village, if not Jackson as a whole. Great onsite ski shop called the Treehouse that has quality demos and awesome retail options to buy. A convenient ski concierge a few feet from where you ski-in/ski-out to check your skis, boots, or whatever you don’t want to take to your room. Hotel Terra is all about location, location, location. Yes, it is in Teton Village but it’s a little offset from the gondola, tram, etc. so you get some peace from the crowds a few feet away. We had no trouble skiing to the door at the end of the day (didn’t have to dodge anymore people than you do on the slopes) and yes, in the morning you have to walk 1-2 minutes to the tram or gondola. If you are environmentally conscious, you’ll love the use of recycled and non-toxic materials throughout the hotel and your room. From the carpet to the paint, everything is used in sustainable ways.

I could see some people wishing the hotel would have a lobby bar (they don’t) but La Osteria, located in the hotel, has a wine bar to hang out in and the Mangy Moose is located directly across from the hotel. Also, the bell staff was hard to find when we arrived (they we nonexistent) but my husband and I managed to get our stuff to the front desk and our room. I do wish there was more room to store luggage and ski clothes in our room. The closet is miniscule so our bags were allocated to the tiny entry space in the room and with no dresser to put things into, we weren't able to fully unpack during our stay.

All in all, this is a different approach to slopeside living and a perfect experience for us.

Everyone was always cleaning and with a smile on their face. All staff very friendly always talking to you and asking if they can help. My daughter had an accident on the slopes and they asked each day how she was feeling. I have never seen such a young enthusiastic staff in all my travels. Would definitely stay there when I return to Jackson Hole.

I just spent 4 nights at the Terra, a great hotel in a great resort:
- nice clean and modern,
- perfectly located
- great hot tub on the roof (but smallish pool on the second floor, cute but I could not swim there).
- nice breakfast, and our $15 daily allowance was sufficient (no room service but I guess it keeps prices down).
- beautiful room with all the amenities needed (now the boot warmers are useless, the self-cleaning bathtub is just a noisy gadget and the free internet is a tad slow), TV, internet, nice king bed. we had the cheapest room so it was not spacious, just adequate.
- very convenient ski valet service, and the lifts were 2 mins away.
- great concierges and reception, friendly and helpful, organized all our ground transportation.
- very good restaurant (too good maybe, overcrowded!).
- one caveat: when I booked my package, I would have liked more transparency.

Overall I really plan to come back to Jackson and the Terra!

Stayed at the Terra Hotel while attending a conference. Extended the stay for a bit of skiing. The hotel is at a wonderful location. Ski valet was a luxury I rarely get to experience. The staff is top notch. The onsite restaurant, Villagio Osteria, is a must! The ecco-friendly hotel, fitness facility, pool and meeting rooms are amazing. The rooms are incredibly appointed but poorly lit and a little cramped. Based on the (conference) price of $189/night and it the peak of ski season, I felt that this was a good price for the quality of this hotel and will definitely stay here again.

The service was spectacular. Not just at the reservation desk, but also at the valet, the concierge, housekeeping, etc

The room was phenomenal. I don't really care too much about it being green (nice, but I personally don't seek this out), but the amenities in the room were extraordinary. Heated floors, LCD tvs, fireplaces, balcony, etc. Everything was brand-new and cool.

The location in the village was perfect! We didn't come in ski season, but during the summer, we walked to everything, including the free gondola to the top. It's all just steps away.

Here is another way to put it. My family and I enjoy vacationing at the Ritz, 4 Seasons, etc. and this hotel was, without question, at that level or above in every category.

The Hotel Terra was a great experience. We had an incredible long weekend of skiing and pampering in JH and this was a good choice. We stayed in an Urban Studio room. This is a nice room with great amenities - such as the jetted bath tub that my girlfriend could not get enough of. The view overlooked the Tram and the ski runs on the mountain. The rooftop hot tubs are great after a long day on the slopes.

The only critical review we have for this hotel is that there is little storage for clothing and gear in the Urban Studio. The murphy bed is not even close to being comfortable (the couch was more comfortable). Overall, this is a great hotel. Great location. And someplace we would happily stay again - just would try a room with a true bed...not the murphy bed.
