My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights during our honeymoon. While the room was very comfortable, modern, and clean, it was a little too fancy for it's own good. Have you ever been around someone who has every new gadget, but it's so advanced that they have no idea how to use them? That's what this place seemed like. The TV wouldn't work, so someone had to come reboot the whole thing. The phones had so many confusing options that I ended up just calling in our room service from my cell phone.
Don't get me wrong, the place was super nice. The staff were excellent. We mentioned at the front desk that we were on our honeymoon and when we returned the next evening, there was a nice note from the front desk clerk with chocolates. The bellman had to come up to our room 3 times in the first hour for various things and was always gracious.
Overall, the hotel was very nice. Great location for exploring Grand Teton National Park, great on site facilities, and wonderful customer service. We are considering coming back during the winter for some skiing!

We had a reservation in Jackson then a friend sent us a link for a deal on the Hotel Terra a week before departure. The overall cost for the 4 night stay was about $80 less than the one in Jackson, but the main reason we changed was for easier access to the hiking trails in the southern part of Grand Teton NP. The decision paid off in spades! Jackson was crowded, and the traffic jams were almost intolerable due to construction on US191/89 South through town. We tried to go through town one afternoon and the gridlock at intersections meant we were travelling through town at about a tenth the speed we could walk through town. Being able to use Moose-Wilson to access the park probably saved us 30 min or more each day due to the mess in Jackson.

Besides saving on the time and stress of the Jackson traffic the hotel was superb. The room was large, bright, and clean. There was a laundry room with washer/dryer combinations (sans extra charge - no need for quarters) on our floor. The bed was nice, hard enough for me but soft enough for my wife who was able to sleep soundly throughout the entire night. The 'jacuzzi' bath was huge and deep, good for soothing the muscles after a day of hiking in the park.

The attached Terra Cafe was sufficient for breakfast. The coffee was up to our standards, and the small selection of food options provided enough of the stuff we needed to fuel our activities. We expected the costs of eating in Teton Village to be high relative to town, but to our suprise found them to be about equivalent; both high, but no additional penalty for staying in 'the Village'. I will review the attached Italian restaurant separately, but it is not to be missed.

The biggest negative I can say is that the bathroom setup took a bit of exploration to find where some things were hidden. The extra roll of bathroom tissue was in a small wicker basket on a lower shelf; I found it, but not until after my wife had become frustrated trying to find it in the more visible locations (shelves and drawers).

My wife has already started talking of a return trip to complete some of the hikes we missed on this trip, and if we do return we will be booking at this hotel.

Hotel Terra is a pleasant resort. However, we were on a summer vacation to the Grand Tetons and Teton Village is not an ideal location for anything other than winter snow activities. Nonetheless, the staff were helpful...prior to arrival we asked them to book a tour for us and they made a very wise choice in the company--Grizzly Country Wildlife Adventures.

We stayed here in July and had a blast. The kids loved the pool sized hot tub and we enjoyed the view o the mountains. Off season rate was fair. Cafe was great for breakfast. Left my toiletry bag behind and front desk helped track it down and sent it to me. Location relative to the Tetons was great and lots to do in Teton village as well. I would stay here again.

I loved my stay here at the hotel. It was extremely quiet and relaxing place. The hotel is right next to the slopes. It is about 12 miles from the city of Jackson Hole. So if you get bored at the hotel it is a short drive to the town. Also the Grand Tetons national park is a short drive away too. The room we were give was a bit small but very nice amenities. The roof top hot tub was very nice and probably my favorite thing about the place. I might add this is not a kids friendly place. The little one was bored.

We stayed there 2 days andmloved it.
We had booked an apartment in a separate building. It was very spacious and had a great ambiance.
The italian restaurant which is part of the hotel offers great food. Try the spicy salami and the brancino!
We would go there again.

Off season is a nice time to visit and if you wait to book until May you may be able to get a package. The resort will not accommodate a change in reservation to a package upon check in. Also watch your charges. Hotel made a bookkeeping error and charged us additional fees but after bringing it to their attention twice they agreed to credit back the erroneous charge. Hotel is very "green". Accommodations were satisfactory and there are several spas and restaurants in Teton Village to enjoy. Located about 11 miles from downtown Jackson.
