“Great Experience!”
Reviewed June 15, 2013

We had an excellent time at Hotel Terra. The staff was extremely accomodating to all of our needs. Hotel Terra was clean and right in the middle of the Teton Village. I loved everything about this place and can't wait to go back!

We stayed here for 2 nights. Great view of the ski lift. The rooms are small, the kitchenette was not stocked well with silverware & cooking utensils. It did not meet our expectations, but the winter ski crowd may love it. It just wasn't a good fit for our family.

Dear ShellyE41,

I am very sorry to hear that our hotel was not a good fit for your family. Please know that we strive hard to meet and exceed our guests' expectations, especially the families that choose to stay with us. I can assure you that had we known of your challenges with the room size and lack of desired kitchen utensils we would have addressed these issues to your satisfaction immediately.

As for the "hard mattresses", I'm sure you can understand that it is extremely hard to satisfy everyone with something as important as a comfortable mattress. While the vast majority of our guests rave about our beds I do apologize that you did not find them satisfying.

Wishing you the very best from Jackson Hole!

We recently stayed 7 nights at this comfortable hotel. It is located just outside the entrance to the Grand Teton's National park and about 9 miles outside Jackson. It is about 15 minutes from the airport. Therefore the location is excellent and it is an extremely beautiful area. Teton Village is a typical up-scale skiing village with a few restaurants and shops. The adjacent Mangy Moose restaurant is recommended.

Several pros of this hotel
1. Near grand teton park and many hiking trails and wild animal watching areas
2. Comfortable rooms, with modern decor and furnishings
3. Room has coffee maker, small refrigerator, and provided utensils
4. Nearby to the Jackson Hole tram (do it) and village shops
5. Nice small meeting area (I was also in attendance for a small meeting)
6. Free parking and decent nightly rate
7. Free, but slow, wifi
8. Bell staff were excellent and friendly

Several cons of this hotel
1. Although hotel staff told us that yellowstone was within driving distance, it is roughly 2.5 hours driving time one-way from the hotel to Yellowstone's attractions. I would recommend staying closer to Yellowstone if this is a destination.
2. The hotel room was small
3. Services and shops have limited summer hours in Teton Village
4. Front desk staff provided very limited information of the area
5. You need a car

Overall a very pleasant stay in a beautiful area.

Room Tip: Ask for a small balcony and a room that faces the center village green.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights on a trip to see Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Park. The hotel had great decor, the staff was very helpful and friendly, and overall we had a great stay. The hotel resterant was italian, and it was very good, we ate there 2 nights, and got dessert there another night. The spa was excellent, my husband I had massages while we were there, and they were some of the best we had ever had. They updgraded us to a 1 bedroom suite upon arrival automatically, since we joined Iprefer. The breakfast place was good but expensive. We had the $20 per room meal plan for breakfast and we always went over, but everything in Jackson is expensive, so don't think we could found stuff the same quality for much cheaper.

It's my wife's birthday so I decided to splurge and take her on a trip, ending this weekend. I had booked the Four Seasons as a super splurge, but when she found out how much that cost, she asked me to look for somewhere more reasonably priced (this is one of the reasons I love her). I looked here on TA and saw the great reviews Hotel Terra received, called, got a very good price, loved their customer service, and am so glad we decided to stay here. From the minute we arrived, we were treated almost like royalty. And when we got to the room, we were super impressed by everything -- the bedding, decor, view of the mountain (overlooking the gondola and tram), bathroom with jetted tub, and a special birthday gift beyond belief. My wife used the spa (it's her birthday!) and loved their services and I hiked around the area. We're eating at their Osteria Restaurant tonight and the menu looked phenomenal, and when I told the wonderful conceirge my special dietary needs, she immediately called and informed them. This hotel is high end, warm, and casual and I love it. You should stay here!

The Hotel Terra Jackson Hole is in one word, excellent. From the modern, well furbished rooms, to the excellent location close to Grand Teton National Park and surely the skiing in winter (we were there in May), to the extremely friendly and attentive staff. We can find no fault in the hotel and would most definitely return here when in Jackson Hole again.

Everything about this hotel is EXCELLENT - the location, the customer service, the cleanliness...everything... except the coffee and breakfast situation. The room has a coffee maker but only provides one caffeinated coffee pack, no tea bags to make tea, and the lobby doesn't serve coffee or tea. The cafe isn't open until 7:00 a.m. - late for many people who want/need to leave for the parks early. Most park tours pick-up people at 7:00ish, which means you're not getting coffee or breakfast before you depart. I requested an extra pack of coffee but the hotel was out of them at the front desk. Other than the breakfast and coffee issue, we HIGHLY recommend this hotel!
