We had dinner at the Alpenhof Bistro and neither one of us finished our dish. Coq au vin served with mushy spaghetti, canned mushrooms and a tasteless sauce. A huge portion slapped on a plate. The schnitzel was dressed with loads of some fruit jam and served with 3 portions of fries. Not a piece of green on the plate. I have had many schnitzels growing up skiing in the Alps. Never have I seen it dressed with a sweet jam. Juck! Please do not wast your time and tummy here. The service was great. The waitress was very sweet and took 50% of my wife's Coq au Vin off the bill. Not her fault that the janitor is filling in for the cook.

The atmosphere in this Alpen inspired restaurant is nice. On the menu you will find typical German, Austrian and Swiss recipes. The quality of the food is average. My Forellen Palatschinken could have been a lot better. The trout was very dry. The service was not able to handle the menu in German. The service was also slow and not knowledgable about wine. On top of it, it is not cheap.

A good selection of local meats prepared in a german style. The bison is great. The fondue was great and gluten free friendly.

This restaurant serves wonder Swiss/German cuisine, including Weinerschnitzel, fondue and other foods, but also has nice American choices. Warm atmosphere. Would recommend.

Years ago I ate here. We had raclette (skimpiy portion), cheese fondue, and buffalo short ribs. I was reminded of Switzerland, BUT the cuisine was just slightly "off the mark."
The staff was very good.
The setting absolutely superb.
