“Five Star luxury slopeside at JH Mountain Resort”

Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed May 31, 2014

It's summer season now, but this is the best hotel in the country for a ski vacation....all the Four Seasons amenities you'd expect, mountain-style elegant facility, ski butlers to take care of all your equipment, and just walk out the door to the gondola, chairs, or tram. But back to summer....Teton Village has now become the best summer resort in the country as well, and the Four Seasons has helped this along with outstanding service, outdoor dining and bar when the weather is nice, with in-your-face views of Rendezvous Mountain. This time of year, late May and going into June, has been more of a shoulder season in the past, but that's over.....if just full swing summer season. The Village is rocking with great options for dining, drinking, dancing, hiking, mountain biking, or ride the tram to get the best view of the valley and up to Yellowstone. OK, the Four Seasons is expensive, but if price doesn't bother you, this place is a gem...summer and winter.

As would be expected, the Four Seasons experience never disappoints. They seek to offer world class customer service excellence and this resort doesn't disappoint.

We were there in March at the end of the ski season. We enjoyed direct access to the chair lifts -- located just steps from the ski concierge (they will even warm your boots in advance). At the end of the day, we enjoyed a few adult beverages on the hotel patio while we gathered around gas fire pits with friends (and warm wool blankets that the staff will ensure you have). Others indulged in après ski s'mores.

Even if you don't ski, this resort can coordinate plenty of other activities for people of all ages and life stages. Be sure to participate in "bucket list" activities such as dog sledding, snow shoeing, guided snowmobile tours through Yellowstone, and sleigh rides through the National Elk Refuge to name a few. The hotel offers shuttles into town, so it's quite easy to get back and forth between Jackson Hole and The Village.

Request a mountain view room with a balcony so you can enjoy the full winter experience. Beware, however, that mountain grooming is done at night and into the early morning hours. You will hear this.

Dining at the hotel offers a few different restaurants and lounges. If you stay at the resort, experiment. They are all comfortable and relaxing.

Expect a bit of a drive to the Four Seasons if you plan to fly in. The best part is the endless beauty and scenery on the way there.

This is a place you won't want to leave.

Tasteful pampering pretty much describes it all. The lounge and restaurants were really comfortable and the food was excellent. The ski concierge and staff were phenomenal in ensuring that all of our needs were met. The pool and fitness center were perfect adjuncts to a busy day of skiing. The staff were friendly, friendly, friendly. Of course, the price is fairly astounding but well worth it if you can do it at least once.
