“Spend +800 a night, and try to read or to sleep in this overrated Four Seasons.”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

Terrible experience. Would you ever imagined, when you book a room for three nights at a Four Seasons, that you will not be able to read, or to sleep, because of the IMPOSSIBLE DUBSTEP ELECTRONIC MUSIC that hammers incessantly in your ears, all day long -until 7:00pm??
We did not.
Hence, we had brought our swimsuits and best books to read quietly by the beautiful pool of the hotel. Not a chance. Horrible electronic music drums by the pool and in your room, even with all your windows closed and the drapes drawn. Should you be condemned to stay hermetically closed in your room (in the dark, or with electric light) when you are paying more than US$800 per night at a Four Seasons?
The gondola and ski lift that operates right at the back of this Four Seasons might be a plus for ski-in ski-out during the season, but it is a true annoyance when it keeps blasting music during the summer, outdoor season.
This hotel has nice decoration, good beds and accommodation, beautiful pool and hot tubs, pleasant outdoor fire pits . All that you will expect of a Four Seasons.

But, trust me, either it is in the wrong place, its management has no saying in the overall atmosphere and tone of its surroundings -or simply they lack sensibility to these "details"? The Four seasons management can not be unaware of the disturbance and annoyance that the adjacent business is causing.

We had booked a full week at another Four Seasons for next Thanksgiving and we are canceling today our reservation. They have a 30 days cancellation policy and we do not want to risk to spend a full week in a similar situation.

Also, next time that we travel to Jackson Hole, we will stay at the neighboring Snake River Lodge and Spa. Book the rooms that overlook the horses. And stay at the indoor/outdoor pool, protected with the surrounding building from the blasting electronic zombie music. Plus, we will save money.

Room Tip: Try to avoid the rooms overlooking the mountain / ski slopes. The annoying music is unavoidable in t...

If you have the money and want to be comfy, definitely stay here. Nice summer getaway. Comfy beds, room service and hotel staff were top notch. Room service food was great for the majority of the time. There are a lot of activities to do in this area, especially during the winter time.

We didn't want to be bothered much on this mini vacation and this hotel delivered. The room (mountain view) had an awesome view and fireplace. We decided halfway through our initial 2 day stay to stay another 2 nights and they were able to move some things around to keep us in the same room. Housekeeping was also one of the best I've dealt with. Bed and pillows are comfortable. An exceptional resort. I'm thinking about going back in the winter time.

I was here for a week-long business meeting in May. For starters, one thing about coming here in the summer is you realize how great this property must be during ski season. It's not only ski-in ski-out, but the distance from the hotel to the lifts is very convenient. Add in the in-room fireplaces, outdoor fire pits and jacuzzi, etc., and you can easily imagine a great ski trip here.

So how about as a setting for a May meeting? Lots of pluses, with just a few minuses. The rooms are reasonably spacious and well-appointed. The service in the rooms was excellent - they noticed that my arrival date was my birthday and gave me a very friendly greeting and treat in the room. I also found the service in the restaurants and bar to be very friendly and accommodating. For bourbon fans, the downstairs bar has an excellent selection, including Black Maple Hill (red and black), and a Hirsch rye (pretty sure it was the rye, but I may be mistaken).

Three minuses worth mentioning. First, in the meeting rooms, I kept noticing a slight moldy smell. Second, and you can't entirely blame the hotel for this, but there is nothing to do at the hotel site after about 10:00. The hotel bars all closed, and even the other bars and restaurants within walking distance closed. Finally, the altitude is a little bit of an issue. I've stayed at 5-10K feet in other locations without issues, but I actually had difficulty sleeping all week, which I eventually attributed to the altitude (others in my group also noticed). Again, you can't exactly blame the hotel, but it would be consideration if I were booking a future meeting here.

This is our fifth stay at the four seasons in Jackson. At every level, this continues to be an exceptional experience. The general manager Tom, the awesome valets(great ambassadors for the hotel), to
the best amenities one can imagine , this is first class all the way. The residences are pristine and are great for long stays. This was truly a wonderful vacation.

Nice location, great food for room service. The buffet breakfast was perfect.

Easy check in, concierge was very helpful with reservations, etc.

The bed was very comfortable.

The restaurant at the hotel had a great dinner menu with outstanding selections.

Fun get away for any couple.

Staying at the Four Seasons in Jackson Hole/Teton Village is a must. The staff bent over backwards for you in every way. From check in, to valet, to the concierge, to room service, etc. The spa/gym is great. The rooms are comfortable. In the mornings they provide you with coffee and breads. The patio in the back has fire pits so can relax either in the mornings or evening and view the beauty of the Teton mountains. The Handle Bar is a great casual restaurant with good food and drinks. The West Grill is a great place to eat for a more upscale food experience. Once you check in, you really do feel all of your stress start to relieve and the vacation start. Wonderful location for the village too. Easy access to everything, but not in a busy area so you have the feel of being a bit more secluded. Would recommend to anyone.

Yes, this is a Four Seasons, and the basics are there, but the hotel seems to be showing its age. The service is good. The location is great. The public areas of the hotel have been maintained, the rooms need a bit of upgrading. The spa is one of the best I've ever visited . . . and i've visited many spas! :-)
