“First class lodging and location”
Reviewed January 27, 2013

Spent the week after new year's 2013. Excellent service. Outstanding rooms and service. Pricy but first class. Excellent location. Right next to the lifts. True ski in ski out. The staff went the extra mile to fulfill requests. I especially appreciated the service went I strained a calf muscle. Excellent spa facilities. Skis put out daily and boot warm an waiting of you each day. We had a great family ski trip.

The level of service at Four Seasons Jackson Hole does not come close to the level of service at other Four Seasons hotels, or other 4-5 star hotels around the world. If you generally stay at 4-5 star hotels, you will likely be disappointed here. A few highlights:

1. Our air conditioning did not work, so we had to sleep with a window open. We were told by the technition who visited our room (at 1am) that the filter had not been changed in a while (four seasons?), and he offered to bring us a fan. We were not keen on using a fan/open window, so we were moved to a different room the third night....without even so much as a complimentary glass of wine in the bar!

2. The room was sort of run down.

3. Service everywhere is spotty. Want S'mores or soup at pool/in the lobby? Better get there fast because they will not be replinished.

4. Check your bill a few times and keep your receipts to make sure you are charged correctly. We were overbilled for ski rentals. Tried to fix it. Were told it was fixed. It wasn't.

5. Turn down service is a joke. Don't expect a humidifier refill (or a humidifier at all here), slippers by the bed, chocolate, etc etc.

6. Maid service in the morning may arrive at 8am (lift opens at 9), so set your alarm.

7. Even if your amex guarentees a late checkout, be prepared to need to persuade the front desk to grant it. Adjust your expectations-there will be no "sure, that will be no problem!" from anyone at the front desk.

8. Spa-50 min massage should last 50 minutes. It would also be nice if the property had a sauna and a coed quiet room (these are some of the benefits at the 4S Vail).

The positives:
Truly ski-in/ski-out; the ski shop staff were extremely knowledgeable and helfpul.

Note- the manager comped some ski rentals since we were overbilled and had to sleep in a room with AC issues for 2 nights. This was a nice gesture.

This was our second stay at this resort and the level of service has not diminished one bit. The location of the hotel is actually on the mountain with private ski concierge. The staff, the restaurants, the spa facilities are all first rate. Our room had a personalized treat with our sons name on it when we arrived, a very nice touch. Complimentary s'mores and hot chocolate at the end of each ski day was an added treat. We can't wait to return!

What a wonderful experience staying at the Four Seasons Jackson Hole. The Board in and board out was right next to the lifts. The staff would have our boards outside on the rack and our boots waiting inside on plush seating. Always willing to help you getting your boots on and off. Very attentive to your every need. Buy your lift tickers right there and charge it to your room. No lines or having to wait outside to buy the tickets. The hot spa was great after the slopes, same attention to detail by the spa personnel.

Room Tip: Mountain view was fantastic

The Hotel is nice looking and the beds are very comfortable. The prices for suites are a rip off! For those prices you would expect a butler and a full time maid. But to be honest I'm the stupid one for paying it.
The restaurant was a joke. The people who work there are not trained and just fumble the whole time. You are dealing with them rather than having a peaceful meal.
Do not go during holiday season unless you make all kinds of reservations way before you arrive as there are people who are not guests of the hotel taking up space and being catered to.
I made a reservation for my child to go skiing and had a reservation for 10 and had to wait an hour for the instructor.
I am sorry to say this was not a great experience.

We are at the tail end of another perfect week at the FSJH. We were here in March and loved it so much we returned within 9 months! EXCEPTIONAL professional staff, beautiful rooms (coming from an interior designer) and wonderful little touches throughout ranging from the hot cider placed around the hotel apres ski, the free smores at the hot tub/pool, the free coffee/tea and home made breakfast breads in the lobby each morning and the unbelieveable ski concierge. The only dissappointment this time was the new Handlebar Restaurant. It is trying too hard to be more"gournmet" (I think) and the service was horrible, waiting much too long for drinks and than food while trying to get back out on the slopes within an hour. I wish they had left well enough alone with the previous restaurant. Do go to this beautiful hotel but skip the Handlebar Restaurant. The Westbank Grill is much better!

Room Tip: Valley View Room is less expensive and more appealing if you want privacy and quiet. Mountain facin...

My family and I decided that we were going to do something completely and totally different than we normally do for Christmas. My beloved dad passed away earlier this year and none of us wanted to be at home for our first Christmas without him. We never went skiing as a family and mom loves nature... she choose JH as a destination and decided on the Four Seasons. I can't tell you how much we enjoyed our time there!

We stayed in a 3 bedroom residence and my aunt, uncle and cousins stayed in another 3 bed residence. We loved to decor, the layout, the fireplace and the views. It was so comfortable and exactly what we needed - separate bedrooms/space for everyone with common areas to gather and hang out in.

We had room service a couple of times and the service was impeccable and food was delicious. I've never had better food from room service! Everyone at the hotel was wonderful - very accommodating, friendly, and welcoming without being stuffy or overly solicitous.

The ski shop/valet service was awesome. It was so great to get off the slopes and hand my skis to someone (who remembered my name!) and head in for lunch or for the day. They would even help you put on and take off your boots!

All of the restaurants at the resort had great food. We ate in all of them. There was also an outdoor ski up to ice bar which was pretty darn cool.

We all loved the outdoor seating areas with big fire pits and blankets. The spa was one of the best we'd been to and was very relaxing. I really loved being able to walk from my room through the spa to the spa/pool in my bathrobe and slippers - I was told everyone did it and I was skeptical, but it was true! They even have people out by the spas to take your robe and slippers and hand them to you from a warmer when you are ready to get out of the spa along with a warmed towel.

It was a relaxed, friendly atmosphere that didn't feel stuffy or pretentious and that is exactly what my family enjoys. Yes, it was expensive, but it delivered everything we could want from our trip. I would recommend this resort to everyone!! I've just gotten home and I'm ready to go back and see what the summer offers as well as to come back again and again (hopefully!) for skiing and the holidays again!
