“Best desserts ever....”
Reviewed August 16, 2013

Stunning beautiful close by our hotel. Beautiful, upscale hotel with diversified menu including steaks, seafood, bison etc. Food above average, service mediocre. Tried Steak and fries, family tried burgers and fries, pasta, etc. The dessert was absolutely off the chain...A ginormous chocolate chip cook warm from the oven on a skillet with vanilla ice cream on top. Sounds simple but it was unbelievably delicious.

“Quality steakhouse in elegant setting”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

The Westbank Grill at the Four Seasons Hotel in Jackson has seen several iterations. The latest is a steakhouse boasting a 1300-degree grill which produces some very, very good meat dishes. Guests who ordered fish and other main courses such as elk were also pleased with the results. The sides are excellent, as are the desserts. Service is professional and the large room with fireplace is airy and elegant. This restaurant is ideal for a special occasion, as quality such as this does not come cheap.

“Not the best but close”
Reviewed August 1, 2013

My wife had the strip steak, and although very tender and cooked to her liking, was not impressed with its flavor. I ordered the Elk Osso Bucco. I am a very daring person and will order anything that is different and from the region. It is hard to find elk, moose, or reindeer in NYC.

The talent in the kitchen is equal to any five star resturant in NYC. The Teton Village has a gifted staff and excellent resturant in its mist. The Meal started with a bread covered with asiago divine. The flavor of the asiago cheese and sea salt was incredible.
For appetizers I had the candied beets and my wife the Pea Raviolis. Once again the flavors and presentation was 5 star.

The wine list is a list for everyone. You can spend as much or as little that you want. By the glass is a little over the top so I would suggest a bottle at the table. You will have plenty of time to enjoy your wine because the meal is served with the European flair. If you are looking for a quick meal look somewhere else.

If you are lucky you will have Brian as your Captain and Christopher as your Maitre'D.

This is not a stuffy resturant, so do not be afraid that ask Brian a wine choice. As well as a suggestion for a entree or desert. If daring request a desert wine with you desert. Share the wine and desert.

Coffee!!!! I like strong coffee and you will get strong coffee.

“Consistently dissapointing”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

We stayed at the Four Seasons Jackson Hole each of the last two summers and have repeatedly tried the Westbank Grill for dinner and breakfast. While there are some very positive attributes, it consistently misses the mark. In each of our dinner experiences the timing and quality of the food is inconsistent at best. I do not think we have ever received all of our main course dishes with a couple minutes of each other. My wife's short ribs were among the worst I have ever had. It was a completely tasteless dish which is pretty difficult to accomplish with short ribs. My Waygu strip steak was a bit of a joke. For $58 I was not expecting a 3/4 thick cut of meat. It was tender and cooked correctly but not what one would expect and not worth the money. Breakfast was a better experience but the coffee is not good and food delivery is also inconsistent.

On a positive note, the food and/or ingredients are obviously high quality. The dining room is very comfortable and pleasant. It is a fairly large space that does not feel large. Our service was almost always excellent. The wait staff was knowledgeable and very attentive without being intrusive. They noticed my wife's short ribs were uneaten and removed them from the bill.

Like all hotels, they have a bit of a captive audience, but the Four Seasons can do much, much better. We attempted to voice our opinion last year after our underwhelming experiences and it was difficult to get in contact with the gentleman in charge of food and beverage. When we did, it was apparent that he was not really interested in our feedback. This is two years in a row this restaurant dissapointed. I hope it improves.
