Description: In February 2008, Fine Dining Restaurant Group, of Rendezvous Bistro & Q Roadhouse fame, brought a taste of Italy to Jackson Hole with the opening of Il Villaggio Osteria. Located inside the Hotel Terra which is the state’s first LEED certified property and only the fifth in the United States. Highlights of the intimate restaurant are Il Villagio Osteria’s 12-seat wine bar and eight seat salami bar, where guests can watch as imported meats and cheeses, sourced from the country’s finest purveyors, are hand-sliced to order. House made pastas, sausage stuffed olives, beautiful wines and entrees round out the exquisite multi course menu.

“Very Good Italian Food”
Reviewed September 16, 2010

After a long day in Yellowstone, we were able to get a table at this restaurant as a walk-in. However, they were really packed, so I would suggest a reservation. The food was excellent and well-prepared.

“Ate at Osteria on the recommendation of...”
Reviewed September 7, 2010

Ate at Osteria on the recommendation of our hotel in Jackson. Had an early reservation ( at 6 pm) since we needed to head back to Jackson. The food and the atmosphere were on par with our expectations, though we were a bit surprised to be the only people under 40 there! Went with the waiter's recommendation and ordered the asparagus ravioli and the pork chops as our main courses. Both of those were outstanding! They could have been served in any NYC restaurant catering to the same hip-casual foodie crowd. The salads were also good, though on the small side.
My only complaint was the less attentive service. Ordered a bowl of olives at the same time as drinks, just to nibble on while we decided on what to order. It did't arrive before our salads were served, so I had to cancel the order.
Overall, a great choice if you are staying in Teton, but I wouldn't make it a trip if staying in Jackson.

“way overpriced for poor food and noisy atmosphere”
Reviewed August 1, 2010

Of the six plates we had, only one (ziti) was of quality; the others ranged from passable (sicilian grill) to dry and overcooked (chicken) to just plain poor (pizza). Seasonal waitstaff didn't help an already dodgy atmosphere. No kids menu, but they can do plain noodles. Much better options nearby, or even bring something from town and find a quiet place to eat. Cannot recommend.

“Great Place For Italian Food and Gourmet Pizza”
Reviewed July 26, 2010

We ate there on the recommendation of a Jackson Hole local and it was absolutely fabulous. Reservations were recommended, we arrive 15 min early and they seated us immediately. Place filled up pretty quick with families and couples with indoor and outdoor seating. Tried meatball appetizer and one other that I can't spell but it doesn't matter, they were both awesome. The seafood pasta was the best and the gourmet pizza was over the top. Little on the expensive side, 2 entree's, 2 appetizers, 2 deserts with no alcohol came to $101. But after eating the chocolate bread pudding, I gladly paid the bill.
