Description: Nestled hillside at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort lies the intimate and rustic Il Villaggio Osteria. An eatery reminiscent of the comfortable, community-focused restaurants that pepper the Italian countryside, an evening at Osteria transports, making you feel as though you’ve traveled to one of Italy’s hidden gems – all without the jetlag. A salumi bar, pizza oven and cozy main dining room marry seamlessly to complement the authentic flavors of the expansive menu, while an outdoor fireplace warms during the sometimes chilly Wyoming nights. Led by Executive Chef Serge Smith, Osteria presents a menu perfect for multicourse dining, composed of homemade pastas and pizzas, seasonal salads, and imported meats and cheeses from the world’s finest purveyors.

While having lunch in town my wife, who is a chef, and I met the owner and head chef Paul from The Osteria so we had the opportunity to hear first hand about the menu and recieve some recomendations. It is offseason but we made reservations anyway at a table Chef Paul suggested. We arrived late but the staff was very friendly and held our special table. They have a good wine selection with reasonable prices. We had a Pinot grig and started with some tapas, Chef Paul sent out some fried brussel sprouts in a light citrus drizzle and pomegrante seeds, we had fried olives stuffed with sausag in a light marinara sause, and an assortment of cheeses some of which were housemade. For entrees we had the Wygu beef tips and homemade butternut squash ravioli. Everything was flaverfull and fantasticand on top of a great meal they had a special where the second entree was only $2 that went to a local charity. If you are visiting Jackson make the short trip to Teton Village and try the Osteria, you won't be disappointed!

We had reservations, and luckily so, it was packed on a recent Friday night. Despite the busy atmosphere we enjoyed our meal, the service, and location. Salads were well presented with delicious dressings. Spouse had one of their pizzas which was excellent. I had the lasagna, again, top notch. Delicious bread, and a good wine list completed our evening. We were staying at the Hotel Terra there, so very convenient. And a great hotel as well, wish we could've stayed longer....

We really enjoyed eating here, multiple times during our stay in Jackson- even the pizza is great. Loved the service- so friendly and helpful- and remembered us from night to night. On the more expensive side but totally worth it!

This eatery should be renamed the Porkeria. If you don't eat or like the flavor of pig in almost every form know to mankind, you may not appreciate the food here. There are some really good dishes that occasionally make it out of the kitchen without being covered, sprinkled, shaved on or smothered in swine, but these gems are rare.
