The owner of this RV park is so abrasive right away, I decided not to stay. He interrogated me about where I was from, how many nights I wanted to stay (as he rudely informed me that there were no long-term stays, we were just passing through from Montana to Colorado and had no intention of staying longer than one night), he demanded to know if the use of the site was for me personally. Of course it was, we have a brand new 45ft American Heritage Motor Coach, we are clearly not the "wrong kind of people" he seems to be trying to weed out. When I told him that I was using the site for personal use he said, "by yourself?" This was creepy to me, and I told him that my boyfriend would be with me. He then said, there will be absolutely no partying and no one can come over. I informed him that my boyfriend was 53 and I am in my late 30's, we aren't partiers, we are recreational travelers. He then demanded to know where my boyfriend worked. Not that it was any of his business, but I informed him that he doesn't work, again, we are recreational travelers. He then said, well, come back after 11am. Needless to say, I would rather sit in the Wal-Mart parking lot for free and run our generator for electricity than put up with being pre-judged by some bitter old man. I don't know if he intentionally doesn't want business or just enjoys being a jerk? But I refuse to be treated like I am some criminal or be chastised for what other people must have done to make him this way. Good luck with that buddy......there is a place called the Lake Stop just up the road, I can enjoy the view of the lake and not get interrogated!

I 'lost my brakes' after some twits in an Eastern Washington town replaced an old rig's brake pads with new ones but simply drained and did not replace my brake fluid! I was stupid/new then and a novice RV owner.....

I went to Yellowstone from Washington state (I am Cdn) that March of 2009, only parts of it as much of the park was still not open. I was a few hundred miles into what would be a 15000 mile journey in the next 11 months.

The side drifts in Yellowstone were above the level of my 11.5 foot coach. As I left the park towards Little Big Horn, I realized the brakes were not working. The next several hours were hair-raising indeed.

I kept seeing signs for Peter D's RV park for maybe 80 miles on the way down. It may have taken me, an older lady alone with a dog in a 7.5 ton, 35 ' motor-home, 3 hours to get there... His signs were like an oasis. I used burning brake pads, no power, and the E brake to slow myself until each pull-over or runaway path. There were NO towns and no real service places en-route. I tried anyway to no avail. My hazard lights were such an asset!!

I stayed there, at Peter D's, in Sheridan over a week. I was shaken but also this little town is SO picturesque and the local museum very interesting. It worked to my advantage that the local truck service place could not provide service for a few days.

My dog and I LOVED this place, its adjacent dog grooming salon and the pastures for the horses next door are great. Exploration on my motor scooter let me see a very modern mall-side of this little American town. The folks are great. The ribs at the Wyoming Rib house are unsurpassed but I must admit I invoked Peter D's name....

This guy goes above and beyond. And YES, his outbuildings are impeccable. Stay here. I hope to be back someday, myself

Pros:
-The park is immaculately maintained with spotless laundry and washrooms.
- Can somewhat see the Big Horn's past Sheridan.

Cons:
- Not recommended for anyone under 75 who enjoys chatting with family outside of their RV or camper.
- There is no shade to be found. Not a single tree over 3 feet tall in the park.
- Perfect Grass though, to the extent the owner instructs you on how and where you can place your things within your rented space.
- Owner implicitly mistrusted my teenage nieces, telling my sister, "Those girls better not mess up my washrooms."

I stopped by Peter D's after reading some reviews on another site, and directly asked him if children were welcome in the park. He said, " Well Gosh yes!" What he didn't say was that they were welcome as long as they were not seen or heard in the park.

I am embarrassed that I recommended this place to my family to stay for the week of my wedding in Sheridan. After one day, my entire family moved from Peter D's to the KOA campsite just to the North outside of Sheridan.

Great location for overnight stop. Park was well maintained. Washrooms and showers were spotless. WIFI worked great. We wish we had added a day here since Sheridan appeared to have lots to offer. Would definitely stay again. The Park appears close to the highway but there is very little noise.
