Nothing exciting, but a decent stay. No clock in the room except on the microwave, one of the beds creaked loudly every time you rolled over (loud enough to wake others). The room had a tile floor with a little entry-type rug between the beds. Sheets and towels were clean.

The place just needs a little updating and care. Seemed a bit run-down and not terribly inviting, but was friendly and decent - good for a discount room at the last minute.

The attached restaurant/bar was pretty good. Friendly people and decent food and beer. Convenient that we didn't have to leave the property.

Room Tip: Ask for one that has been updated.

We checked in and our door lock wouldn't work. The desk attendant recoded them 3 times before she called for maintenance all the while we were walking back and forth across a hot parking lot each time. She offered us a free drink in the restaurant/bar attatched to the front desk area. We didn't eat there but it was a nice looking place. The AC wasn't real cold( it was a 2 room suite, but in only had one unit). Had a neat old indoor pool.

Made reservations 2 months in advance to stay here after a concert with another couple. We were able to check in but were told the room was not clean yet which was fine as we would be busy most of the day. Once we were ready to drop off our bags we had to go back to the front desk 3 times to get different keys. Once we finally got the door open there were someone else's belongings in the room. Went back and were told we would get an upgrade to a kitchenette. Only problem was there was only a king size bed for four people. The manager was then called in but did nothing. The gal at the front desk then wanted us to follow her to check on another room. Well first of all there was a don't desterb sign on the door and she did not even knock. Thankfully there was no one in there at the time but the room was occupied. Very unorganized and unprofessional. Would not recommend

We were some of the only ones staying at the motel, but were given the non-refurbished room, it was musty, had dirty toilet, definitely overpriced. Heard through the grapevine that the rooms behind the first set are actually the remodeled ones, did not see those as we checked out as soon as possible in the morning.

The restaurant was good though.

This motel is in Historic Sheridan and gives you historic charm with up to date immenities. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and The food at the Firewater Grill was amazing and the breakfast was a deal that couldn't be beat. The few trains that came through can be noisy but not enough to wake me up.

Room Tip: Stay to the front side of the motel to minimize train noise.
