“Busy but would not go back.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2013

There is not much choice on restaurants in Rock Springs & this restaurant was walking distance from our hotel. I read reviews of this restaurant before going & I'm afraid I agree. The chinese is very salty & tasted like chinese food used to 20 years ago. Not a great experience. The portions are huge so don't over order. The best think that can be said about it is it's clean & the beer's cold. Sorry.

“Pleasantly Surprised”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 3, 2013

I did not expect this restaurant to be as good as it was. The sushi was great and the rolls were very imaginative. After I was already stuffed, I saw another table order something that was served on fire and wished I had ordered that myself! Points for creativity and taste. The service was decent and our waiter was very friendly. They also serve Chinese food if you are not into sushi so this would be a good place for everyone.

“Unexpected Good Alternative To Beef and Chilies”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2013

Since Bonsai has received good TA reviews and was across the street from our Hampton inn,
we concluded that dining there offered a lot of potential. We were not disappointed. A major
part of the menu was devoted to sushi and sashimi, and of no interest to us. The majority of
entree dishes were more Chinese in nature, but fine with us since we enjoy good Chinese
cooking. My wife opted for the Volcano Shrimp and I tried the Seafood Combo Noodle Basket.
We concluded hers was better, and the seafood in the edible basket could have used a bit
more zip. We enjoyed both and found the two with two glasses of wine from a limited list
were reasonably priced. The restaurant was busy, with several large groups, but the service
was good and the server very helpful. It was a nice change from our previous focus on the
world of chili selection and hearty meat offerings.

“Surprise to Find Great Japanese Food in Wyoming”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2013

Food was very authentic and fresh and delicious. We had a fun time w/ great food and service. We would highly recommend this restaurant. We were a party of four, two of whom had lived in Japan and very much liked the quality and selection of the food here. All four of us would highly recommend this restaurant. Great Japanese Food in Wyoming. Who Knew?
