“Nice room and nice restaurant”
Reviewed May 28, 2011

We spent a night here and requested and received a downstairs, non-smoking room. The room was spacious and clean and we were able to park right outside our room. We ate dinner at the restaurant and the hotel gave us a voucher for breakfast.

We were a little sceptical to stay in Rawlins, Wyoming. We had read all the bad hotel comments. We were very pleased with the bathroom set up which had a sink inside the bathroom door and another sink & mirror on the outside of the bathroom area. It had a microwave and little fridge. We woke up the next morning expecting to have juice and muffins but it was a full course breakfast. You could make your own belgium waffle. Which my kids loved. They had hashbrowns, scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, muffins, fruit, yogurt, cereal. It was outstanding. My kids filled their tummys. We didn't have to eat again until that night. We ended up staying in a Marriott Hotel for the rest of our vacation in a different city and felt cheated that we payed more and didn't get squat!
Thanks Rawlins, Wyoming for a great stay!

We prefer staying in accomodations with exterior corridors where we can park at our door. This room was spacious, clean and well appointed and very quiet, even though a side street was out our door.. The Wi-Fi worked without difficulty as did all drains and lights. We called ahead to make the reservation and were quoted a price that included our discount. It still seemed a little high, so I asked, upon check in, if that was the best they could do and our pleasant reservationist was willing to give us a better price for the same accomodations. The breakfast in the morning was beyond awesome.. a cook on hand with fresh bacon, hashbrowns, waffles, scrambled eggs plus all the usual items. No attached restaurant but Cappy's within walking distance has a bar and an extensive diner type menu.

We stayed at the Best Western CottonTree Inn to compare it to other places we have stayed at in Rawlins. We come to Rawlins to stay and then we drive to Saratoga to soak in the Hobo Hot Springs Pool...soooooo relaxing, and free 24/7, located at Saratoga's city park. We utilize Best Western, Hilton Honors and Choice Hotels rewards programs in all of our travels, so we try to mix it up and stay at different places for future reference. We were pleasantly surprised with our stay here. hotel has rooms that are either interior doors, or rooms with both interior and exterior doors with parking right at your room. We had a room with both doors, which is nice for loading and unloading your vehicle. The room was large, and had new furniture, carpeting and tile work. The bed was a plush top so very comfortable. Linens were in very good shape and soft. Bath products were nice, a brand I have hot heard of: Oxygen2. They were nice smelling and worked well. The toilet was in a bad location. It was literally next to the wall, but it functioned and was clean. The television is the old tube type and the picture was snowy on most channels. I took off the cable and put it back on and for awhile it improved. The batteries were also going in the remote so we had to get right upon the TV to change channels. Minor problem, we probably could have went to the front desk and had them refreshed. There is also a microwave and fridge in the room. The couch and side chair were very comfortable and matched the room's decor well. The hotel is an older BW but the refresh has helped. We stayed at the Quality Inn last year and were not as excited about their renovated rooms. Breakfast is your standard fare, sausage, eggs, waffles, cereal and rolls, coffee and juice. They closed down their restaurant and this is where breakfast is served. It is clean, but very dark and closed in...not quite up to par with hampton Inn or other facilities, but it serves it's purpose. The pool, hot tub and sauna were closed for maintenance, so I cannot report on them, but they look like they are clean and well maintained. All in all, it was a relaxing stay. We will stay here again. We compare rates between the three rewards programs and also shop for the best value. This will remain on our Rawlins list. I hope this review helped. Feel free to email me with questions. Thanks!

Avoid this place, if you can. The air conditioners need servicing, as using triggered an asthma attack. Further, the air conditioners are loud so it makes sleep difficult. The doors open to an internal hallway and the windows do not open. Basically it's like sleeping in a high-rise office.

and rolling (and totalling) our Westy, the hospital staff recommended this hotel--and even gave us a ride. Though the best room they could offer us (they were really full) was far from the lobby and wasn't especially handy for someone newly on crutches, the staff was as helpful as they could be, and when we found our cat, unharmed, at the site of the wreck two days later, they were genuinely excited that we found her.
