“Great night sleep”
Reviewed August 29, 2012 via mobile

We stopped here after a long car ride for some much needed rest. The staff accommodated our request for a quieter room. That combined with our own noise machine meant we did not hear the train at all. We slept like babies! For dinner, we walked the short distance to subway. The hotel was certainly out of the main part of Rawlins, but it was perfect for our need to get out of Wyoming early. Overall, it was clean, quiet and breakfast was great.

We stayed here on August 10 after traveling back from Jackson Hole on our way to Denver. The hotel is in a great location just off of the interstate and located next to gas stations and fast food restaurants. The check in staff person was very friendly and helpful and checked us into a handicapped room that was very spacious and clean. The kids enjoyed the pool while mom and dad enjoyed the whirlpool after driving all day. The breakfast is suitable for all your likes. I would recommend staying there with family or business.

A very nice place to stay the night. Turned up without a booking and got two rooms for $140 each. Building looked new and the rooms were clean and tidy. A typical Holiday Inn – nothing overly special!

I would highly recommend this hotel. We have stayed here numerous times on our way through WY. The pool is usually fairly warm. The breakfast is standard Holiday Inn Express but always fresh and the hostess always remembers us & is friendly. No fuss on the dog and lots of room behind the hotel for the dog to run. The hotel is always clean from the lobby to the rooms. The only thing that could be upgraded is the beds to pillow tops!

We were traveling east from the Tetons and stopped in Rawlins. For the night before heading east in I-80. This hotel had all the niceties of you would expect from a Holiday Inn Express. It was a newer hotel and the staff was very friendly. As a priority club member we were given a free upgrade to an executive suite. It was a nice stay in a good location.

Stayed here during a house hunting trip. Staff (and fellow travelers) were friendly, room was clean, all in all a good trip. My son loved the pool (although the chlorine smell was a little strong for me). Room was clean, spacious and relativley comfortable. Breakfast was standard (but hey, it's free!) When we finally moved here for good, we stayed in HIE's the whole way. Can't beat it for value and friendliness (especially when traveling with pets!)

Thank you for leaving us a review on Trip Advisor! I am glad to hear that your son loved the pool. However, most importantly thank you for mentioning the chlorine. I have already met with our Chief Engineer and let him know of your experience with our pool. We love the positive comments, but it is also important to us to hear about an experience that could have been a positive. We pride ourselves in cleanliness and friendliness. I will pass on your review with the rest of our staff so that they may know that we have made yet another Friend. Making Friends One Guest At A Time.

Never in my life had I thought of sleeping in windy Rawlins but given that our journey led us there, we chose this place and we had a very pleasant stay.
Rawlins doesn’t seem to have many tourist attractions but the hotel is conveniently located on Rawlins' east edge, beside the I-80, and becomes a good stopover, although it is always necessary to drive towards Rawlins downtown to find several dining options (between the hotel and the center we tried a chinese restaurant called “China House” where the food and the service were very good).

In regards to the hotel, let us mention first that the staff we met was correct and efficent.
Then, when we got to the room, this was very welcoming. It was spacious, very clean, beds were comfortable, there was a flat-screen TV, a refrigerator, a microwave, an air conditioning unit, the bathroom looked very new, and the sleeping quality was good although sometimes, still awake, we could hear other guests in their rooms.

This hotel has as well a small business center where there is 1 guest computer while they also offer a nice hot full complimentary breakfast.

For all these reasons, we were happy for having chosen the Holiday Inn and if we ever need to sleep again in Rawlins, this will be the first choice we will consider.
