Fortunately, the smell of the nearby refinery didn't penetrate the room, as we were desperate as everyplace else in town was full and the next town on our trip westbound was 120 miles way. The room smelled musty, and we both woke up completely stuffy. Beds were too soft but the pillows were too hard.

Breakfast was the worst we have encountered in the 6 weeks of being on the road. Poor selections, grimy waffle makers, unfilled coffee & condiments. Yuk!

Shame on AAA for listing this place as it couldn't meet any reasonable standards. No refrigerators or microwaves drafty and noisy AC, dingy hallways with dirty carpets. Even some of the the refinery workers moved to someplace else.

PeteL,

At the Days Inn Rawlins we strive not only to meet our guests expectations, but to exceed them. We constantly succeed with this goal.

The unjust complaint about the refinery is answered by the facts. The refinery is not an issue as it is 6 miles east of Rawlins and the winds blow any smell associated with the refinery East , away from town. We do have long stay companies, some associated with the refineries at our motel. They stay or leave as their contracts dictate, not as you claim. Our guests enjoy the care, cleanliness and friendliness of our motel and return on a regular basis.

Our hot breakfast offers Biscuits and Gravy, Omlettes, Scrambled Eggs and Breakfast Burritos (rotated out daily), muffins, english muffins, danish, toast, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt and fresh fruit along with a make your own waffle station. Our breakfasts are among the best in town!

Refrigerators and microwaves are available in over 50% of our rooms.

I am sorry for any inconveniences that you state you experienced. If you are in Rawlins again, please stop in and let us show you we are far better than your description.

This hotel was terrible. It was not clean, very noisy, and we had to move twice just to get a shower that worked. The worst place we stayed on our entire trip! It doesn't look to bad from the road but don't be fooled.

Absolutely terrible, it was dirty and nasty! I will never stay there again, ever! And I would not recommend it to anyone! The floors in the bathroom where sticky, dirty! The carpet saw never a vacuum cleaner! The Hall never saw a cleaning in years, it look liked!
The doggie price to high, if they at least would use that money to get the rooms clean, I would not mind it!
Words are not even enough for this hotel! Don't ever stay there! Unless you don't mind dirt!

First of all, I cannot believe how costly the hotels in RAWLINS, WY are. I've stayed in nice hotels in big cities for less money than it cost us to stay in Rawlins. When we checked into our room, the first thing we noticed was how hot it was. So we turned up the air conditioning. It didn't work. It basically blew the hot air around. The shower was either cold or scalding hot, no in between. The room wasn't very clean. The breakfast was mediocre. We regretted our decision to stay in Rawlins and agreed next time we'll pass on by.

I am sorry to read this report. The good news is that it is not true. The motel is clean, prices competitive to the area, and not only friendly, but excellent. We have benefits that other motels do not have.
We have recently changed management and completed a lot of improvements. You will truely enjoy our upgraded motel which includes top quality pillow top mattresses, excercise room, book exchange, photo gallery, free popcorn and cookies and one of the best free continental breakfasts in Wyoming.
We look forward to making your stay pleasant and memorable.

This place has a nice bar and a couple of nice pool tables, but management is very little help. No food on site of grounds. Laundry room was ok, yet WIFI would only work about half the time.

We had stayed at another hotel in Rawlins the week before that was located next to the Days Inn and while the hotel was nice, we felt that it was too pricy so on our visit back through Rawlins, we decided to stay at the Days Inn.

We had a different experience than what the others posted. Our room was clean and we saw no evidence of bugs or filth in the room or bathroom. The beds were clean and comfortable. The hallways are a little dark but a fresh coat of paint or additional lighting would take care of that. Price was good also. Our grips would be that the side door to the parking lot did not lock so anyone could go into the hotel. Also, the continental breakfast was disappointing. The selections were scarce and the toaster was not working. Some of the kitchen staff could use some additional training. I was warming oatmeal in the microwave and my mother was behind me when one of the staff tried to get in front of her in order to heat their own meal. Overall we had a decent experience and we would stay there again in the future.

On a 10 day road trip through Utah, Wyoming, Colorado and Arizona, this was the only motel that was unacceptable. Room 157 had dirty carpet, bad smell, bugs in bathroom, loose and corroded bathroom fixtures, and very slow internet service. Electrical outlet in bathroom had no power and could not be fixed while we were there. Adjoining restaurant was a joke. Staff were nice but I felt like I was in an underdeveloped country.
