We've been to Pinedale multiple times and the Rivera is now our favorite place to stay. This week we stayed in a cabin on the creek with two bedrooms and had plenty of space for our toddler and dog. The place was charming, clean, and so quiet we could hear the creek from our room. The best part of our stay was Emi's hot breakfast, which fueled us for long day hikes and afternoons at the lake. And now our daughter won't stop asking to play with Bird again. Can't wait to go back.

This is not the place for you if you want look a like decor, routine breakfast menu and a business as usual reception. Rivera Lodge is a warm, friendly and home like place to rest, enjoy the sound of the river flowing by your window at night and to have a breakfast personally made and served by the owner/manager/gourmet cook, Emi who is ably assisted by Bird who welcomes all with a wag and smile. If you want to know what to see, where and how to get there, she can provide detailed directions, history and/or gossip about what is going on in the Pinedale area as well as Yellowstone, the Tetons and the Wind Rivers. This year friends and I got together to catch up after 40 years and it was the perfect place to do so. Quiet and yet lots to see and do.

Room Tip: All rooms are clean, uniquely decorated and comfortable.

I lived in Pinedale for 10 years and no idea that this was the best motel in town. Our cabin was in the pines; it was CLEAN, comfortable and complete with a kitchenette. Emi and Bird are very accommodating, welcoming, and hospitable. Bed was quite comfortable, the porch out front was very inviting, motel location being right on the creek is quite coveted, and of course (as we locals call it) Emi food for breakfast cooked/served over the campfire was the perfect touch. Very nostalgic motel. Thanks for a great stay.

We spent a night here after leaving Grand Tetons. We were made very welcome first by Bird, then Emi! Spotlessly clean cabin with all one needed for self-catering, with very comfortable beds. We went up to the lake for a walk, then, as it was a beautiful evening, we made supper and ate outside on the creek - idyllic setting with all the birds. After a peaceful night, Emi provided a delicious full breakfast to get us going the next day. We'll be back some day!

I have been traveling for weeks and this is the first place that I have stayed longer then planned. The location, amenities, food and hospitality were awesome. Her place is extremely clean. Emi was very helpful and of course, there's Bird. I can't wait to go back.

Pinedale is a very small town with many places to stay. Don't stay elsewhere. Emi and Bird are most welcoming. The cabins are nostalgic and tidy. They are right on Pine Creek (with enough room to sit out back in chairs provided). There are a few places you can even put your feet in the water if you dare.
Beds were comfortable and bathrooms clean. The kitchenette had two electric burners, a microwave, small refrigerator and coffee pot. We ended up using it as there are not many places to eat. ( no fast food, few restaurants that are open late).
Breakfast provided both hot and cold items and good coffee; with Emi and Bird hostessing and being as lovely as they are.

Room Tip: Call Emi and ask her what might suit you best.

Rivera Lodge is a great place to stay. Emi is a fabulous cook serving delicious breakfast each morning. Fun to watch all the birds while eating breakfast. Our GRANDdaughters loved it. Also very relaxing afternoons were spent sitting out back listening to the Pine Creek.
