“Stay for the location not the services”
Reviewed January 16, 2013

The mountain view is great, the RV park not so much. I read the other reviews before posting to see if I might have misunderstood some things about this RV Park. Didn't realize there were new owners which might have helped explain some of the things that were advertised but which didn't exist when we got there. The pool/hottub were empty and looked in need of lots of repairs. Trash disposal is a long walk away from the big RV's but I can deal with that. No wi-fi and staff didn't know much. They seemed to spend most of the time trying to get the cash register to work. Laundry room equipment fair but prepare to be there a long time. The fees listed on their website were about $30 less than what we paid per night. This was the most expensive and least pleasant place we have ever stayed. If there are in fact new owners who are making improvements, we may reconsider some day but not for $90+ per night. And no, I am not a former employee.

We stayed here 2 years ago and enjoyed the convenient location, gorgeous views and large sites. We weren't looking to be entertained at a resort type facility so were very happy here. Before returning I looked at the reviews and couldn't believe what I read, all the bad comments didn't seem to be reflective of our experience. So, I went ahead and booked us here again. I am so glad I did!! We stayed for 2 weeks from the last week in July through early August. All the staff were always helpful and friendly, the owner even came by several times to see how we were doing, the restrooms were always clean and the food in the cafe was well prepared. It would be nice if the pool had been open, but when you're battling state regulations all you can do is keep on trying. Yes, I inquired as to why it was closed, and also noticed that it is being kept in top repair so it can be open when the necessary permits are finally acquired. As others have stated, it is a bit rustic, but very comfortable all in all. For goodness sakes folks, you are camping and this is a campground with a great location between 2 glorious Nat'l. Parks, without all the noise and hustle and bustle of the mega campgrounds you find in many areas like this. I also inquired about all the negative posts on this site and was told they were falsely posted by former disgruntled employees, so don't believe all the negative things you see on this site. Yes, it is a bit pricey, no, it is not a 5 star resort, but is it a very good campground with clean facilities, pleasant staff and gorgeous views and a convenient location. I hope to return again as often as possible!!

Stay somewhere else way over priced for location and amenities .They advertise spa and pool both were broken at the time of our visit.I felt they should have lowered their over priced facility. While we were there my wife took ill and we had to leave a day early I thought they might have reimbursed us for the last night but they said sorry for her and please come again.

We booked a night in a cabin at this RV park. Upon arrival you expect good things with the huge sign and friendly looking grocery store and restaurant. But the park itself is terrible; it is very uncared for, dirty, not reflective of the surroundings, and poor value for money.

There are not a lot of options nearby, so we had to make do as we are cycling across the country. But if you are in a car do push on to another park on the way up the Togwotee Pass.

This park is not a resort in my book, and it's old. That being said, we had plenty of room, great views, and the two main people we dealt with daily (Eric & Donna) were quite wonderful in our book. Eric is the chef, and is there for ALL three meals of the day. He even fixed us a sack/box lunch to take with us each day. We stayed for three nights in a Class A with a tow. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

Grand Teton rv park

We stayed at Grand Teton rv park in mid-August on a family rv trip.
The pros are that the rv park is scenic with lovely views of Grand Teton and the mountain ranges.  It is slightly away from the more populated tourist areas off Jackson and Jenny Lake, so we always had plenty of space at the rv park. We were given a spot right in front of the laundry room and bathrooms/showers, which was super convenient.  Also the park has a service/gas station with a convenience store and cozy casual dining area  (burgers and lasagna-style comfort food) with bar, which made for a laid-back, fun experience overall.
The only main con is, some of the people who work in the rv park seem not terribly organized or knowledgeable, ie, mediocre managers. When we arrived, the gas pump at the service station was not working and it took three people to figure out the problem (previous sale had not been completed).  If it hadn't been for one particular fellow, we'd probably still be there.
Also the main fellow will get you basically what you need, but he is lacking in customer service skills.  You may have to ask a few different ways before you get a complete answer to any questions.
A plus is that they have car rentals on site -- great for touring and not having to take your whole rig with you.  Be aware, however, that rental is around $80 per day and the cars (Chevy astro minivans) are in fair condition.  The one we had made weird noises and grinds when turning. (One of the workers told us the couple before us complained about this, "but they are probably city folks who don't know how to drive here." (?!?). Still, the car made it and allowed us to tour the lakes and Jackson Hole more conveniently.
So in sum, this was a fun place to stay because it was more tranquil than the crowded rv parks in other areas. Just recognize it may be slower and less stocked with amenities (no grocery store nearby, little guidance on things to do, etc.).  If you overlook the cons, you will really enjoy the pros.

I read all the reviews, but we stayed here anyway. Easily accomodated my 42 foot motorhome, full hookups on a gravel site that we could easily level on. The view is spectacular. While the facilities are old and used, they were clean; the showers worked and the toilets flushed. Great water pressure at the site, and no power issues. We found the staff very friendly, and the food at the cafe in the office was great. We had fresh trout for dinner one night, and breakfast was good too. If you are looking for an RV "Resort", then this will be too rustic for you. But if you are looking for a good base to explore from, then this is way better that Jackson Hole. Plus, you are only 6 miles from the park, and it is not crowded. Did I mention the view? Yes the pool is empty, but I didn't drive all that way to sit in the pool anyway.
