Camper Cabin Stay

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Nov 26, 2018
We stayed for a night in camper cabin en-route to Yellowstone. It's very well kept with bunker bed, work table, glass door / windows and curtains. They also provide freshly laundered blankets on rent. The washrooms are share with other campers, but are clean and well maintained. As they mention on the website, they don't have any light in the cabins. We regret not carrying a small battery powered LED light. Also, it got pretty chilly at night, even though we had double blankets on us.

Very nice rooms, with everything you need. Very roomy. Also have the best restaurant there where we would go eat no matter where we were in Yellowstone. Always have had good meals there - probably better than anywhere the parks. We have stayed here a couple of times, and enjoyed every minute of it!

Room tip: Stayed in one of the cabins, very private and quiet.

Location was beautiful just outside of Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park. Quiet and stunning surroundings. Big and comfortable rooms very clean and warm, nice little patio area with seats we didn't use as it was too cold to sit outside but would definitely use in a warmer weather. Had a great sleep in the nice comfortable bed. You get a coffee maker and all other mod cons including an iron and hair dryer. But for the price of the room there is no TV or wifi which I get, just enjoy nature, but for the cost of room at $250 you would expect even a small tv. Its a premium price for staying so close I suppose. We used the restaurant for dinner which was very nice staff very attentitive. I would recommend if you are in the area.

Friendly, helpful and available staff. Clean, contemporary, fully-equipped and incredibly spacious cabins. After experiencing rip-off lodging in Yellowstone, we migrated into the Grand Tetons where Headwaters delivered beyond our expectations. Thanks to everyone from front desk to restaurant to cleaning staff.

Stayed in a camper cabin. It's the perfect inbetween if tent camping and hotel stay. You can reserve a site online. There is a bunk bed with a thin cushion, a table with 2 chairs, and 3 drawer dresser. That's it.

Bathrooms are a 5 min walk. They have flush toilets, hot showers, several sinks inside, one sink outside for dishes. It was late September so it wasn't busy. The showers are private. You walk in, close the door, undress, walk into the shower and close the curtain. It is as private as any public restroom stall. I am a woman who was on her period. There were trash cans in each bathroom stall for sanitary napkins and tampons.

Headwaters is near the south entrance of Yellowstone. We were able to visit both Tetons and Yellowstone with ease. Lamar Valley is 2.5 hrs and Old Faithful is 1.5 hrs.
We saw the most animals in The Tetons.

There is a restaurant, coffe shop, convienice store and gas station at Headwaters lodge. 100% reccomend.

First, we did not spend a night...only a lunch stop. Second, plan ahead. We got there shortly before they closed. I think they close between lunch & dinner. There were several people who were there just a little late. The service was amazing, the food was real good and the portions were BIG. We usually share an entree (because portions are so big) and we left some there. We were really ready for lunch and these folks delivered. Heck, the chef even made the rounds to make sure his food was good.
They also have a nice gift shop.
