We were on the trails near Wyoming High Country Lodge the end of December and found it to be a great place to stop, warm up and have lunch and a refreshment. Corey and Dawnie were so hospitable...Corey gave us a tour of the place...it was all very homey and clean....it made you want to come back and plan to stay for a week or two! The fireplace filled the lodge with warmth...almost didn't want to go out in the snow, after sitting near it for several minutes. And, Ashley, the Border Colley was so welcoming....such a nice dog...We will definately come back whenever we are in the area! Thanks Corey and Dawnie for making us feel so welcome! :)

This place is nestled deep in the woods but also has internet access, satellite TV, and clean rooms, great food, great drinks, and the managers are excellent! They will come and get your luggage for you if you are snowmobiling in as well. Some of the best snow is right outside the lodge. Do not overlook this Lodge if you're going to be in the Bighorns it is well worth stopping in and the value is great.

I stayed here while I had business in Lovell area and brought my sled. Excellent service, good food and great riding area when I wasn't working. Warm, comfortable and very nice to place to stay in quiet location in the forest. Will definitely be back.

After a tough day of hunting, too tired to drive to town, we decided to see what lay beyond the Wyoming High Country Lodge sign. What a surprise! Such a glorious and welcoming mountain hideaway. We were thrilled to find a fire, cozy lodge, dinner, and wonderful hosts welcoming us. Our room was perfect and we so enjoyed the company of Corey and Dawnie, just like old friends. After touring the property and its amenities-we can't wait to muster up an opportunity to return. A true gem in the mountains!

What a great way to relax from the stresses of our daily lives. The Wyoming High Country Lodge has everything you need to relax, from the beautifthen energy--the snow capped mountains, serenity at it bust. If your looking for a great rustic log cabin experience with all the luxuries then this is the place, Corey (manager) and Dawnie (hosted), were very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend an extended stay, to get the full experience! :)

Room Tip: Recommend the cabins, off from the main lodge.

We stayed at the lodge while visiting the Big Horn Medicine Wheel. We are skywatchers, so our schedule was to be out before dawn and back to the lodge well after dark. Yet, our wonderful hosts Corey and Dawnie, the managers at the High Country Lodge, were accommodating in every possible way. We stayed only two nights on that first trip in September, 2012, yet we found a warm hearth we will return to many times.

We stayed in a room inside the lodge and were extremely comfortable. (They also have rooms in cabins outside the main lodge.) The beds were great, bathroom facilities were clean with good hot water pressure, and the view is fantastic! The food was wonderful and always an event with Corey and Dawnie taking great pride in serving exactly the combination of tastes suited to each guest. Corey and Dawnie are also fascinating conversationalists with a lifetime of interesting experiences. This is not a sterile hotel, but a warm and welcoming mountain lodge.

Having a warm respite on those chilly high altitude nights was a pure delight. We enjoyed every moment of our time and look forward to a winter visit! This would be a wonderful place to have family reunions, small group conferences and weekends with (or away from) the kids!

And I always enjoy an environment where the first one you meet is the welcoming puppy! It just makes the world seem right.

Thank you for the kind unsolicited words about our place. I hope if anyone disputes your comments they contact you directly to ask even more questions about our great out of the way place we have here. We have strived since Aug when I arrived to cater to every customer and you were no exception. Since I am the early riser it's easy to make sure guests get what they want if the need to venture out early.

We endeavor to make this our home and not a sterile environment like you mentioned. Every guest coming here is treated as extended family and we love to share our experiences and learn of the experiences of our guests.

We will continue to bring in corporate groups and families for their reunions (2 families booked next year already) The fireplace has been going 24/7 now for the last 2 weeks and it is always a mice warm place to come too.

Three of us checked in for a week of rest, relaxtion, quiet and a birthday celebration. We got exactly that and then some. Beautiful scenery, relaxing environment and peaceful setting. We spent every meal looking out over Bald Mountain, waiting for elk or moose to walk in the close meadow. We had binoculars ready...but the elk and moose must not have known our desires. Horseback riding offered. Medicine Wheel was the destination and it is a must see. Words cannot describe that experience. Corey and Dawnie, the managers of the lodge, were extremely accomodating. We checked into a cabin which was rustic fun! This is a 'must do' if you are looking for something off the beaten path. Ask Dawnie for her roasted potatoes!

Room Tip: Rooms inside the lodge are rustic quaint. Cabins are for the more adventerous. All were quiet and p...

Thank you for your kind review. It was a pleasure having the 3 of you and we were glad to bake chocolate chip cookies for the birthday boy rather than a cake. The moose and elk are still in hiding (Probably since rifle season starts soon) If you are ever out this way again please stop in to say hello.
