“PEACEFUL PRAIRIE PLACE”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

A peaceful, clean, roomy comfortable stopover for these Prairie Prowlers. Huge trees right outside our sliding glass door. A cozy nook just off the highway. Fluffy pillows, great mattresses, good food. Unique gifts in the lobby store. Convenient car/truck repair available on sight. I've never had a bad night at a Little America. This one didn't disappoint.

WE had been traveling through rain and snow and darkness, so we were very happy to see the bright lights of Little America, Wyoming. The Little America hotel has been around quite a few years, but it was a very nice place to stay--clean, quiet ( we could hear no noise from adjoining rooms), nice bed, nice size room. Food was good. We would stay here again.

I used to stay here when I was little kid and we would go on family vacations and road trips. This is the first time I had been here in years and it was like walking back into the past, not much has changed. The staff is still charming and friendly and the food in the cafe was still quite good. The only downfall is the gas is Sinclair and very expensive compared to other truck stops. We stayed the night and the room was on the second floor and we had to park a long ways away from the room and than had to cart everything up the stairs to our room. The air conditioning did not work that well so we had to open the windows, luckily it was a cooler night but we could hear the truckers and the freeway. They started leaving very early in the morning and between the slamming doors in the hallway and the starting of diesel trucks woke us up.

Despite all that, this is a very comfortable and nice place to stay the night and have a nice meal and the price is very affordable compared to other places along the freeway.

The hotel is very charming. The beds were wonderful, as were the pillows. But my issues were the other guests. Truck drivers were getting up at 4am and leaving... So we were woken up too early. But if you're needing a charming, clean place in Wyoming, then this is your place.

Traveling can be exhausting at times and you silently wish that just one hotel would offer that extra comfort without charging you the last dollar in your pocket.
Little America Resort in Little America, Wyoming does just that!
As you walk into the room your eyes first catch the fact it is so large. Much more than just a bed. Chandeliers from the ceiling, a king size bed with colors so elegant, marble treatment on the van it, a makeup vanity with mirrors and sink separate from the bathroom which is also where you will find a refrigerator under the cabinet, microwave and soaking tub. Now, this is not all that you will find here.
As your eyes move beyond the bed that invites you to rest, you will see a large seating area with a love seat, two comfortable chairs, coffee table and a dining table with chairs. Table doubles as a desk to use for working as well. Ready for more? You have your own patio complete with lawn chairs and table for that morning coffee which is also provided. View is of the grounds and pool.
Yes, this was a find and the comfort was there for a great night rest.
Let's not forget the restaurants either. We did not order a fancy meal as it was late but did decide to try the hamburger and this was no different than all the rest-superb! They ground their own meat for freshness and our waitress was the best we have ever encountered.
I just kept wishing no one would wake me up from this treasure location. We will be back especially when I want to write again as the peaceful surroundings are an authors paradise.
Our only regret-we had to leave so early for our next stop.
This is a destination location if looking for comfort, beauty, luxury and all at a price thats no more than a Holiday Inn or La Quinta.
You won't want to miss this one. Just drive a little beyond that major city you may be thinking about stopping-you'll be happy you did.

Room Tip: Request the rooms with a refrigerator.

The motel is easy to see from the highway. It consists of many buildings - mostly rooms, one restaurant, one truck stop/gift shop. Most of the rooms are on ground level, but some buildings had a 2nd floor. The grassy areas were neat and trimmed and the outside of the buildings were well maintained. A very quaint look to the area. The staff were extremely helpful and genial. We ate dinner and breakfast at the restaurant (there is no continental breakfast). The food was very good. Although the room décor is older, the room was clean and very well maintained. We didn't hear any noise from the other guests. We would definitely stay here again.

As a child my family stopped to see what was here but, as a US Navy family could not afford to stay overnight. On my recent trip I expected the cost to be much more so was pleasantly surprised at the selection of rooms & prices. The room was fairly large with mid 20th century vintage furniture. It was a wonderful first floor corner room! So comfortable, clean, well supplied, & free wifi. Although a complimentary breakfast was not included ... Breakfast at the restaurant was the best I had on my ten day trip. I had a generous bacon & egg breakfast with the best bacon I have had anywhere ... I posted it to my FaceBook page with rave reviews for my friends!! I would go back just for breakfast! Well worth the decades I waited to come back to Little America!

Room Tip: The downstairs corner room was large ... A/C was quiet & efficient. I did not hear any noise fro...
