2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2014

This was my first experience at a Travelodge. I don't know if I'll stay at another one if they are all like this one.

We were road tripping without much of an itinerary and decided to stop around 11pm in Laramie, WY. Travelodge had availability and we're pretty low maintenance guests, so were glad to get a budget hotel room for the night. It cost us about $42 with tax.

The woman at the front desk when we arrived was great. She was friendly and offered guests suggestions for places to eat.

While walking to the room, we noticed that the hotel was obviously run down, but didn't care as long as the room was clean. It wasn't. The pillows had weird stains and one of them had a ton of hair right inside the pillow case. I called the front desk and asked for new ones--and she brought them right away and agreed that the original ones were gross.

Later we noticed that there was some hair on the blankets, the heater in the room didn't work, and there were toenail clippings on the floor. Gross.

Additionally, these things are not big deals, but really made the place seem poorly maintained and more run down: the tv had no remote, the bathroom door hardly closed, turning on the hot water produced a really loud moaning sound from the pipes, and our room (225) had broken and useless furniture.

We probably would have left and gone somewhere else if we weren't exhausted from 12+ hours of driving that day. Maybe we should have because I hardly slept anyway--it was just gross and we could easily hear other guests. They apparently have a continental breakfast in the morning, but we didn't even bother trying it. We didn't even have coffee that was provided in the room because we didn't want to use the coffee pot.

When I checked out in the morning, the woman working at the front desk was really flustered about some computer issues, so I didn't even bother complaining. I don't think it would have made any difference anyway.

The only positive was the nice woman working the desk when I checked in!

It's a room. . . Everything is long past replacement age. Tried to watch the TV but it's old and has a distorted picture. The clerk was helpful and pleasant.
