“Unexpected Luxury”

This is a relatively new Best Western that has grown to be a substantial meeting and conference destination. It was our destination after a half day at Grand Teton heading east. We were delighted with the accomodations.

  • Liked — Spaciousness and inviting corridors.
  • Disliked — No complementary breakfast.

A large and very appealing motel at a main highway intersection at the very east end of town. Our room #302 was downstairs in the east building. Parking on west side of building was paved and good size, east side was large but course gravel. The room was a very good size with two queen beds. The room with the shower and toilet was average size. Sink in corner of bedrooom had a good counter space. Lighting was very good. The only down side was no microwave or refrigerator.
With no breakfast bar we went to the local coffee shop (by the other major motel) on Main Street. For dinner we found the China Garden restaurant on 6th street which was very good.
This motel promotes conventions so, at times, getting a room could by difficult. We felt this was the nicest motel in town and good for a repeat stay.

Nice hotel in Lander. Rooms are average and clean and it is very close walking to downtown where there are restaurants and shopping. The cafe there had just opened and we were happy with a very moderately priced breakfast. Hotel staff are courteous and helpful. Stayed for a business meeting and the facilities and staff were great.

Like most people, we stayed in this hotel on the way to Yellowstone. It is clean, relatively quiet and located just off the main highway.

The gravel parking lot on one side is a pain. Some doors were mysteriously inoperable with our room key.

The pool is tiny, but okay. The staff were very pleasant.

BTW, don't follow one staff member's recommendation to eat at the Big Noi Thai restaurant in town. It's not real Thai food, it's difficult to describe. In fact, it's just plain horrible. What were we thinking trying Thai food in Wyoming? Stick to McD here.

In any case, for a quick stop in Lander, this is a good choice.

I stayed two nights here for a conference. For a small town I was impressed with the facilities. The hotel consists of 3 buildings, 1) just opened in Aug. '06 and has a restaurant (The Summit), a very nice coffee bar, a small bar (alcohol) and two large fireplaces. The building is large and has plenty of space for a large dinner event. 2) the main building where you check in, this is where the fitness room is along with some small conference rooms and bedrooms, it is the original hotel. 3) has bedrooms and large conference rooms this building is fairly new, I think it was built around '05. I stayed in building 3 the room was large the bed was a little firmer then I like but could be perfect for some. The service was friendly, and the food provided for the conference by the restaurant was very good, especially the homemade potato chips. I would recommend this hotel for a conference or home base for exploring the wind river range.

I was rather disappointed that the pool was outdoors and the "spa" was just a hot tub. Other than that it was very nice and very clean. I was hoping for some day spa services after a long day of snowmobiling over 150 miles on the Continental Divide Snowmobile Trail System. The Day Spa I was directed to within walking distance was something I would not have recommended - a tiny beauty salon that was not very clean. An onsite spa would have been preferred. Other than that we all had a great time.

The Best Western in Landers, WY was a nice surprise after a long day of driving. Large, clean rooms and a nice breakfast. The hotel is expanding to include a bar and restaurant on property. We asked the desk clerk to suggest a place for dinner and she told us to go to COWFISH. It seems some attorney in town wanted a nice place to eat and restored an old building on the main street. The bar/brewery area was fun. The food was french bistro and excellent. We ate there on a Sunday night and the place was full. Good wine list.
