We were on a combinatiion business/leisure trip. My wife loved the room we stayed in even though it was the smallest they had. The beds were comfortable. The small deck was nice to relax on at the end of the day. The staff was very friendly and helpful and made all the restaurant reservations for us. The price is what it is for Jackson, WY. We would go back there anytime we have a chance to visit Jackson again.

Pro: Great location on a lovely creek; convenient walking distance to everywhere; very quiet; bed was very comfortable.
Cons: Room is VERY cramped; very poor lighting- could barely see to read at night with all the lights on; carpet worn and stained in several places; bed frame very rickety- one of the posters of the 4 poster bed was so loose that we thought it was going fall over and conk us on the head every time we walked by it; bathroom very small with shower curtain that would not close unless I stood on the toilet seat and slid each curtain ring individually along the rod; breakfast was limited to one choice- OK if you liked what was being served, otherwise you were off to find somewhere else to eat.
Definitely not worth $200 a night!

We stayed at the inn for 5 nights in the adjoining rooms. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfasts varied from day to day, some were unusual and perhaps not everyone's "cup of tea" but all were freshly prepared and tasty. The inn is very close to everything in Jackson and there is a free local bus stop close to the inn which can get you to other areas of Jackson if you don't want to walk. Walking distance to many restaurants. The Dollar car rental office is walking distance. Many area attractions would pick you up at the inn, for example. balloon rides and a private yellowstone tour (Grand Teton Tours is operated by the owner who is very knowledge of the area especially Yellowstone and is very cost effective for groups of 4 or more.) The Blue Lion Restaurant was fantastic and small. Make reservations for dinner everywhere in early August so you won't be disappointed.
We have stayed on many b & b thru out the US and this inn met or exceeded our expectations.
Try to get room at back of inn as it is much more relaxing and quiet.

We stayed at the Inn two nights. Our hostess, Beth, was wonderful - both pleasant and very helpful. After she assisted us with a restaurant recommendation and dinner reservations, she led us to our room (the Harlequin) on the second floor. The room wasn't huge, but it was decorated very nicely, and it was clean and well-maintained. We sat on the small deck overlooking the creek, and used it to enjoy coffee in the morning. I especially enjoyed watching the ducks, geese, and birds at the feeder next to the creek. On Friday night, I took advantage of the "happy hour" when the Inn made available wine and pretzels for snacking on an outdoor, common deck.

I found the overall location and view from our room very relaxing. The Inn is right at the outskirts of town, but only about 4 blocks away from Jackson Square. Our room looked out onto a butte, which was very quite and peaceful. My only complaint about the room was the the screen to the outside was torn, and the bathroom ventilation was poor. But these were only minor issues compared to the Inn's overall comfortability.

Breakfast on Saturday was a home-made blueberry cake and berries/cream. On Sunday, french toast and bacon was served. In addition, cereal and fruit was available. An added bonus is that you can have breakfast served in your room, however we did not take advantage of this.

This is probably one of the best places to stay in JH for the money, and I would definitely return.

No grab bars in the shower. No surfaces to put the many pillows from the bed on nor things like a cell phone, keys etc. No thought had been given to the needs of a traveler to set things down. Breakfast was minimal the first day (coffee cake type thing) and not at all good the second day. These are NOT gourmet breakfasts. For $350 a night this is way way over-priced. It is convenient to town. Noise control is poor. We knew every time someone took a shower. Couldn't hear talking, though. I guess it was because the showers in other rooms were against the walls of our room. We asked for coffee in our room in the morning and it came with only one sugar and no stir implement ...

My wife and I spent 2 nights in the Mallard Room with our 3 month old daughter. As we were driving from Livingston, MT and visiting Yellowstone on the way to Jackson, we did not arrive until 7:45pm. Beth, the Inn manager waited for us as we were arriving slightly after the check in time of 7:30. She offered us a complimentary room upgrade to one of the jacuzzi rooms, but we chose to keep the mallard room as it had a view of the creek running behind the inn. As we had to prepay for our room, check in was very quick. Beth took us to our room and handed us the keys and asked when we wanted our breakfast the next day, giving us the option to eat in our room or at the table in the communal area. The communal area had a selection of board games, dvds, , tea & coffee, fruit, and fresh baked cookies, giving the inn a very homey feel. In addition, there was a large communal deck on the side of the Inn.
Our room was at the back of the inn and had a separate entrance from the main part of the inn. It had a comfortable 4 post bed and a sitting area with 2 comfortable overstuffed chairs.
The Inn is within easy walking distance of the Jackson town square and the many good restaurants located near the square. More importantly, the Inn is less than 15 minutes from the southern entrance to Grand Teton National Park.

The bomb Inn for anyone looking to enjoy Jackson Hole and all the finer things that life has to offer. The Merganser Suite was the place of our stay and the accommodations and service were over the top. The beauty and tranquility are second to none and the wildlife breathtaking. We woke up one morning to a Mama Moose and her calf literally right outside our living room window. The moisture from the river fell back down as snow when it reached the cold morning air; an amazing and beautiful sight to behold. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and the breakfast everyday was fantastic. We were married inside our suite in front of the warm fire and both feel blessed to share this special moment at the Inn. Five stars in our book and it should be in yours!
