All 7 meals were outstanding. No one had a complaint.
A true gem in the mountains.

Last Saturday, my husband and I dined at Trio for my b'day. (We're locals, and have a knowledge of most of the places in town. ) Dinner was wonderful! It is a fun busy place.

We started off with the appetizer that happened to be the chef's fav: grilled shrimp & asparagus over a bed of tiny black lentils. Good choice :-) We both had the soup special: parmesian/artichoke, another good choice. Hubby had the Elk Bolognese, good wild game meat sauce with rigitoni, and I had the forever cooked pork with roasted veggies and polenta....my choice was awesome. We split a creme brulee for dessert.

Left overs made a good dinner the following night!!

Definitely one of our favorite places. On prior visits we've had the risotto, reaaalllly good; and daughter had proscuito arugula pizza, had a taste of that one, great!

Went to Trio with a large group on Saturday night. Had a pomegranate cosmo that was yummy and not overly sweet or sugary. The waffle fries with blue cheese are a sinful indulgence. I had the butternut squash risotto. It was very good. Well prepared risotto with chunks of squash and garnished with nuts. Earthy and delicious. My husband had the "cooked all day pork" which he loved. Very tender and served with a tasty polenta. Service was a little spotty (she sometimes missed a few people when taking drink orders), but pretty good overall considering we were a large group. Entrees ranged from $15-$30. The wine list was a good size with great range. It has a nice swanky atmosphere and appeals to a younger, trendier crowd. Reservations are definitely recommended.

My wife and I recently returned from a trip to Jackson/Grand Tetons/Yellowstone October 7-13. What a great time to go - fall colors, small crowds. Our dining experience at Trio was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had in the United States - from the service to the food to the ambience, not a detail was left unattended. We had intended to try multiple restaurants in the city, but after our first night, we wanted to go back repeated times until we had tried everything on the menu - from the buffalo to the chicken to the pizzas everything was outstanding and fresh! While getting upscale, 5-star service it was small enough where it felt very personable. The prices were well below what one would expect with the level of service and the quality of the food. This is one place I highly recommend and look forward to returning to as soon as we are able to get back to Jackson.
