Description: Rich in history, Jackson Hole’s first chuck wagon adventure, the Bar T-5 began in 1974 by giving people a chance to step back and experience a time gone by, a time when they traveled by horse drawn covered wagons. Now you can join us at the Bar T-5 and make your own Western History. Climb aboard a horse drawn covered wagon just as they did in the early days of Jackson Hole for an adventure unlike any other. You’ll experience an evening filled with great Western Hospitality.Traveling along a clear mountain stream, you’ll follow a winding trail into the tall timber of the Bridger-Teton National Forest to a camp in the heart of the canyon. Watch out there may be surprises along the way, after all this is the West! Arriving at camp the wagons are circled and the aroma of a Cowboy style Dutch oven dinner greets you. Enjoy our home cooked BBQ Chicken, Roast Beef in Gravy, our famous Bar T 5 Beans and more. After dinner you can sit back and relax to the sounds of music and laughter as our cowboys take the stage. Enjoy the harmony of The Bar T 5 Band bringing your favorite cowboy songs to life! With Guitars, Fiddles and Fun for all, you’ll find yourself joining in throughout the night. The evening ends as the wagons head home from a place and time you’ll never forget.....The Bar T-5 Covered Wagon Cookout & Show. We are close by, located just 1 ½ miles SE of downtown Jackson. The wagons are ready to roll evenings, Monday through Saturday, mid-May through the end of September. The evening lasts about 3 hours. At camp you are under a covered pavilion that is heated if necessary. Reservations are requested. To find out more about how to join us and make your own Western History please give us a call.

Fun night for families with kids under 12 or so
Staff very friendly and engaging
Food plentiful and good enough for the occasion
Wagon ride feels only marginally authentic as half is through a neighborhood
Music and skits short enough to entertain young families
Would recommend as a change of pacce and a one time experience
Most lasting memory is staff seems
genuinely interested in providing a fun
couple of hours
BTW the dining site is covered and heated
Btw

What fun we had from the time we pulled into the parking lot until the time we left that evening. These people know how to put on a show and take care of their guests. This isn't a cook out in a parking lot. You're actually experiencing the way it was done long ago with a short trip by covered wagon into the beautiful wilderness with cowboys and indians on horse back. This is a well rehearsed program as they take you to an established cooking/ stage area and put on a wonderful musical show involving professional entertainers and few of the guest. The characters are lively and they stuff you with as much food as you can handle. Not basic picnic food, but tender Tri-tip, bbq chicken that falls of the bone, fresh biscuits , homemade camp beans, vegetables and so much more (including the wonderful brownies that are a meal in themselves). There is no question they want you to leave with a full belly as they are always asking people (politely of course) to fill their plates as often as possible. These are good country folks and they show it in their hospitality. Once the dinneer and show are done they file everyone back into the covered wagons and you mosey on down the trail back to your cars. This a superb value for the food and entretainment they provide to their customers and their hospitality is genuine and unmatched.
You don't want to miss this experience when in Jackson hole. It's well worth it !!

This wagon ride and dinner show was AWESOME! At first we were not sure what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was extremely friendly and engaged in the whole evening. The crew that "drove" the wagon were very nice and asked each child on board if they would like to come up and take the reigns. They answered lots of questions and were very knowledgable. They seemed to genuinely care for the horses and the horses appear to be very well taken care of. The ride out to the camp site was fun and the food was wonderful. You had no excuse to leave hungry. The youngest in our family attending was 7 and the eldest was 65. They both were laughing and enjoying themselves during the show; evidence that it is fun for all ages. Don't miss this enjoyable evening if you have the opportunity to go. It is well worth the money!!

I have had the chance to go on other wagon ride suppers, but there were no where near as good as this one. The people were very friendly and sincere, the entertainment was very very good (both the ride the site, and the dinner show; very well done) and the brownies were to die for! All and all, a great family expirience, or even just for the one. A great way to spend a fun evening. I would do it again.

We love going to Jackson Hole Wyo. it is our most favorite place. We have been on this bar t 5 on 3 different occasions. It really is worth your time and money. How many places can you get on a covered wagon pulled by two beautiful draft horses and go have supper.
And get attacked by indians on the way. The food is great and there is pleanty of it. The entertainment is wonderful. Great singing and a lot of good clean comedy. It is a great time for kids and all ages. The family who runs the BAR T 5 are a wonderful family. And they run a fantastic business. While you are there pick up a brochure about the Teton Wagon Train. The warburtons run this also it is by far one of the greatest adventures we have every been on. We have been on the wagon train trip 3 times. You can go to Teton Wagon Train and see my review and tips.
