“Food okay, ambiance a scream”
Reviewed August 8, 2014

This is a must, in the way that eating off a food cart outside Grand Central in NYC is a must. It's not about the cuisine, it's about the experience and checking something off the "must do" list, and sitting uncomfortably on a saddle-seat at the over-the-top carnival-like bar and drinking bottled beer and eating a mediocre burger is the best way to spend your noontime lunch break while exploring Jackson. If you grew up with Roy Rogers and western movies and had a Daisy air rifle, you'll be in childhood nostalgia heaven. Accept and love it for what it is: a touristy total immersion into cowboy kitsch and cliché.

5 stars for atmosphere because they don't give 10. That said, ladies, I'd think twice about a guy who gives this 5 stars for romance.

“Saddle stools - too cool”
Reviewed August 5, 2014

Went for drinks. Good service. We were able to get seats on the saddle stools at the bar. Quite comfy - drinks were tasty. A bit confusing from outside re bar vs steakhouse. Great location and atmosphere. Exterior lighting reminiscent of old Vegas.

“If you go to Jackson, you have to try it”
Reviewed August 3, 2014

This is just one of those places that you have to see. Like the empire State Building in NYC, if you tell a friend you were in Jackson, especially if they have been there too, they will ask if you have been there; so go. It is worth it. The food is good, like any good restaurant in the West, but it is the atmosphere that makes it special. Have to be there to experience it.

“Interesting place”
Reviewed July 27, 2014

We had lunch here one day while staying in Jackson. The food was okay (just burgers) but the place was very interesting with saddles instead of regular bar stools, knotty wood railings, a display on bobcats and spurs. Kinda a fun western place for lunch.

“Mosey on up to the bar . . .”
Reviewed July 25, 2014

Food was good but the ambiance of the restaurant is what is special about it. The bar stools are saddles! There are tables available if you can't or just don't want to straddle a saddle while enjoying your meal and beverage.
