Description: Inspired by bakeries in France and beyond, Persephone Bakery Boulangerie and Cafe remains rooted in Wyoming, a local orientation expressed in our breakfast and lunch menus' focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients. The cafe carries a core collection of classic artisanal breads as well as a spectrum of sweets, from French croissants and kouing aman to cupcakes and tarts. To complement our creations, Persephone proudly carries Chicago-based artisanal roaster Intelligentsia Coffee. Housemade flavor syrups and European hot chocolate round out the barista bounty.

“Wonderful Chocolate Croissants”
Reviewed October 13, 2013

I would definitely say this place has the best buttery, flakey chocolate croissants I have every had in my life. Can't wait to try other items there.

“Delicious Bakery!”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

Eating freshly baked bread and desserts is always amazing, and Persephone does it as good as any! Newly opened in Jackson, this bakery offers tasty different desserts and coffees, and you have to stop by and try something! They close at 5pm, so don't wait too late.

“They actually do Paris”
Reviewed October 6, 2013

For the true Parisian croissant lover, this is real DeGaul. Their plain croissants are buttery, flakey, light, rich, and cooked all the way through. This distinguishes them from most attempts to bake croissants and puts them in the category of those particular French patisseries that also make the perfect croissant.

The coffee is also quite good, but outside of Rio de Janerio, no one roasts coffee like Coal Creek Coffee in Laramie, Wyoming, so they should start getting their freshly roasted coffee from there.

They have very nice little egg dishes for breakfast; and for the non-total-purists, they also have flavored (chocolate, and so forth) croissants. We bought a loaf of their Levain and took it with us for an excellent basis for a picnic in the (closed) parks to the north.

Quite a tiny seating area unless it's warm enough to sit out on the deck, which means only in the summer.
