“Fabulous Food in a Western Town”
Reviewed September 28, 2009

When you go out to eat on a Tuesday night in the middle of a recession and the place is packed, you know they must be doing something right. Such was the case with the Snake River Grill. The setting is rustic elegance, and the food is to match. Service was prompt and professional (just reciting all of the ingredients in the evening's special salad must have required a rehearsal!) The food was creative, well plated and delicious. The wine list was quite good (we Californians are picky about that) and not ridiculously overpriced. Portions were good sized, and there was a lot of variety on the menu. This is not the cheapest place in town, but you are definitly getting what you pay for! Heartily recommended!

Impeccable. One cannot help but eat well here. We enjoyed every bit of it. All courses were scrumptious.

“Great Service, Excellent Food, Positive Recommend”
Reviewed September 16, 2009

One of my favorite parts of traveling is planning dinners. Wife and I are very much small plates eaters and the Starters/Small Plates Menu is what drove us to eat here. I ordered several items starting with a White Gazpacho which was very good, (I've had white gazpacho in the past that was way too garlicky (and I LOVE garlic), this was nice; Orichetti with Wild Game Ragu, I don't know what the game was, but it was a very deep and righ sauce with plenty of meat (probably too much for an appetizer size); Roasted Bone Marrow, soooo rich, you cant eat too much of it, my wife wouldn't try it, but I thought it was great; super sweet grilled onions with thin sliced chorizio were a great combo of flavors; the waiter also recommended a green chile item that was not even on the menu, but was a plate of lightly sauteed green chile's in olive oil, salt and pepper with a fresh squeeze of lemon over it. Wife had a roasted tomatoe salad, the griddle cakes and the yukon potatoes, she thought all were great. Too full for desert. I would definately go back again to the SRG, it was a great meal, the service was efficient without being pretentious and a very comfortable dining room, western themed without being kitschy. $200 for two with tip (and a cocktail for me and a bottle of Plumpjack Chardonnay (which was a little expensive here, but for the enviroment and being in Jackson, not unbelievable). Definately recommend.

We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Our food was served promptly and as ordered. Everything tasted fresh and good. This was a pricey meal but well worth the price.

“Wonderful Locally Sourced Cuisine”
Reviewed September 7, 2009

We ate at Snake River Grill at the conclusion of our trip to the Tetons and Yellowstone. Glad we saved the best for last! Our server was excellent and the ambiance was very nice. Wine list was extensive and fairly priced. The menu concentrated on local cuisine, with elk and trout the standouts. Beef choices were also available, as were other fish. They also serve some of the best onion rings on the planet as an appetizer.
