“Good Value”

The food was tasty and the portions were large. We ordered the burger and meatloaf. The place was very busy.

“Food was good.....”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2014

The food was good and reasonably priced, not over the top. We eat here every year when we come to Jackson for our winter vacation. Nice atmosphere, lively bar area. Have not been disappointed yet.

“Delicious and adventurous”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 20, 2014

Seated promptly (had OpenTable res). It is a bit crowded and noisy which is more irritating the older I get. Lighting is VERY low. If you have trouble seeing, bring a light to read the menu. However, you should still go!

Food was creative in both presentation and combination of ingredients. Service was at acceptable levels. Water glasses were never really empty even though we had a self serve decanter of water on the table.

Crabmeat and shrimp app was creamy goodness. Monkfish, just added to the menu, was a little tough, but the combination of flavors didn't make mind it at all. The chocolate bread pudding was right in my wheelhouse of love!

Parking is limited for the number of diners so be aware of that when making a reservation. IF you can carpool to the Bistro, please do.

“Overall I was happy, not so much those with me.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 19, 2014

The service was average, nothing to rave about, but also wasn't bad. We waited around for her a few times and she seemed to have a little attitude. I had there special fried chicken and it was great! HOWEVER, my friend got a grilled caesar salad. we both both thought it was a cold salad with some kind of grilled protein over it. NO they literally grill the two extremely light green and low quality stalks of lettuce for a little. When we saw it we thought it was going bad. Why would you grill lettuce?! I also just felt everything was overpriced, but it is a resort town. I would return, just be cautious and ask questions if something isn't clear.

“A must try in JH, delightful menu”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 19, 2014

We were delighted at how inventive the menu was. We dine out a lot in Chicago, Milwaukee and Southern California and were giggling at how fun the options were on the menu. Don't miss the Ahi Tuna tartare (my favorite on the whole menu and worthy of a light eater's main course), the lamb tartare was also crazy delicious. My dad ordered the beef tongue tacos twice he loved them so much. I can't decide which was better, the pad thai omelet or the pork adobo - but their menu changes all the time. All fresh, inspired, innovative and perfectly balanced flavors.
Don't skip dessert - especially if they have the black garlic creme brule, give it a whirl, you'll be thinking about it for days...
