We come from an urban area with many locations of the big name brand that sells various coffee drinks. So we were wondering, when visiting the Jackson area, if there was any local coffee place that would blend the coffee and local cultures. Cowboy Coffee did it.
My wife and I were recommended to visit Cowboy Coffee when we were (you guessed it) shopping in a women's clothing store on another street in Jackson. Back to Cowboy Coffee - we found the coffee drinks were good, and learned that the place had been around for decades. I don't know if it was selling coffee all that time. The new young owners apparently bought it and opened it in June 2012, I believe. One of the owners pointed out the sign hanging outside, above the sidewalk. He noted that this was an original sign, from the store's early days.
Cowboy Coffee is located about a block from the city park which borders one quadrant of the intersection of Cache and Broadway. It is on the west side of Cache, a bit more than a block north of Broadway.
