“Very average, but good service”
Reviewed May 29, 2009

My husband and I stayed here in one of the basic ground floor rooms for 3 nights in May. It was our base for exploring the Grand Tetons. THe room was very dated but clean. There was a couch and a flat screen TV with plenty of cable stations. The queen bed was not very comfortable but by far not the worst bed I have slept in. The bathroom was clean but smelled like chinese food...I never figured out why.
The service at the hotel was excellent all around. The girls at the front desk were outgoing, cheerful and helpful with suggestions in Jackson. The hotel was also 1 block from the historic square and had on site parking...very convenient. It was an excellent base for exploring the Tetons. The continental breakfast was very basic...bagels, muffins, cereal etc. but they put it out around 5-5:30 which was nice so we could get to the park around sunrise. Coffee and juice were offered around the clock which was nice too.
Noise was an issue once, with the people up stairs but I think they were drunk...
Overall I was happy with our choice. It served our needs. At about $85 a night total it was not bad for our location and convenience but I would say a bit overpriced for the room itself. I would stay here again though.

We could not have been more pleased with our 3-night stay at the Ranch Inn. The front desk staff was extremely helpful with suggestions and directions for everything from where to go to see lots of animals to where to go for dinner. The room was quite large and clean. The value was incredible. The hotel's location was perfect too--very close to everything and a nice big parking lot. I've certainly had more elaborate continental breakfasts, but for the price we were paying, no complaints. The owner is also a photographer, and the rooms and hotel are decorated with his beautiful work. I discovered that I'd left some clothing in one of the drawers (duh) and the staff mailed it to me at home right away. Seriously, this place was the best!

Wonderful and very clean rooms with a great view. The private parking was a great convience. The staff at the Ranch Inn were outstanding. Their customer service skills far exceeded my expectations. We will definately return for another stay, but next time it will be for much longer.

We stayed at the Ranch Inn for a total of 4 nights in July of 2007. We had a Tower Room which had it's own balcony and was plenty big for our family (2 adults and 2 teens). The front desk staff was very friendly, helpful and even recommended a great sushi place. I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed two nights in one of the "Tower" rooms. Large, clean and very nice. $130.00 a night. Location, location, location, this place has it. Good off street parking. Our room was on the third floor, nice. No noise from the street below. An elevator made the trip up easy. Will consider it again when we are in Jackson again.

My husband and I stayed here in Sept 2008 for one night. On the plus side - it's easy to find, centrally located, with tight but free parking. We had a ground floor room for $122. Not cheap, but compared to some properties in town, it was affordable.
The hotel looks kind of scary from the outside. However, once we looked at our room, it was plenty big, with 2 beds, table, 2 chairs, wireless internet, sink outside bathroom. I would describe the furnishings as dated, but they were in good repair. Bed linens were also in good shape.
The free continental breakfast was poorly done. Garbage cans overflowing. Only cold items to choose from. Fruit was apples. One of the 3 juice dispenser options was broken.
We did enjoy the convenience of being able to walk to dinner, then walk about town, and walk back to our hotel in the evening. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We had no problem with the wireless internet, but apparently not all rooms have access, as some people were carrying their laptops to the breakfast nook to get online and explained that they had no access in their rooms.

We stayed at the Ranch Inn two nights in September 2008. When I checked the reviews on TripAdvisor most seemed to be good, stating that it was clean and affordable. We were traveling with another couple so we booked two luxury rooms (luxury rooms are bigger and have a refriderator and microwave). When we arrived we were a little worried because the hotel looked a bit dated.

These rooms are anything but luxury! The rooms were big but were VERY dated. Our room was clean but our traveling companions room, which was right next door, had issues. The carpet in their room was filthy and the furniture was really worn and dingy. The blankets on the beds were stained and full of cigarette burns. I called the desk and asked for another blanket, the man at the desk brought me a brand new blanket right away. He stated that the blanket on the bed was probably just "stained". I told him that even if it was a "stain" that the blanket was just not suitable to be put back on the bed in that condition, he agreed.

Noise was a factor here as well. We were on the first floor and could hear the floor creek and crack everytime someone walked across the room above us. And both mornings we were awaken by the garbage truck at 6am!!!!

The breakfast was nothing spectacular, and the girl taking care of it didn't even wipe off the counters when she refilled the items. AND no one emptied the garbage, even though it was overflowing both mornings we were there.

This hotel is not worth the money we paid for it.
