We stayed in a three queen bed room with a loft and kitchenette for 2 nights at the AAA rate of $126 per night plus tax. Our room was spotless; everything was well kept up, and the hotel looks as if it had been recently remodeled. The room has rustic decor with log/wooden beds, but still is very up-to-date and modern with the nice granite-looking bathroom sink counter top and adequate lighting. There was a TV downstairs as well as one in the loft, which I thought was nice, and the beds were really comfortable! The people at the front desk were extremely friendly and nice, as well. The location is great, too. It is about 5-6 blocks from the town square of Jackson, but still near the corner of the main road so you have acess to all parts of the town. If we ever get to come back to Jackson, this is definately were we will stay!

I stayed at the Elk Country Inn for nine nights with my sister in one of the cabins. The bedroom with two queen beds was perfect for two people. One side of each bed is against the wall so more than two adults might be a little uncomfortable. A third adult could easily sleep on the sleeper sofa.

The living room/kitchen area was nice. There was a sleeper sofa, a small table with two chairs, a small TV on the wall, a little refrigerator/freezer, a microwave, a toaster, and two stovetop burners. There is no oven so don't expect to cook anything that requires one. There was a Rubbermaid tote that was filled with utensils, bowls, plates, and a couple of pots and pans.

The Inn is in a great location within walking distance of pretty much everything in downtown Jackson (make sure to go to Bubba's BBQ across the street) and the prices were very competitive for the area. The cabins were clean and comfortable and you don't have to worry about noise from other cabins or making too much noise yourself. The front desk people were very friendly and the cleaning staff did a great job. I hope to go back to Jackson sometime and I will definitely stay at the Elk Country Inn.

One note: the pictures for the cabins on the Inn's website do not show a door beween the bedroom and living room/kitchen area. It looked like the door in our cabin had been built after the cabin was built. I don't know if all the cabins are like this but you could ask. It was really nice to have a door to block out the light but the wall did not go all the way up to the ceiling so noise did carry from one room to the next.

We spent almost a week at the Elk Country Inn in Jackson in March this year and used it as a base to go snowboarding at Jackson Hole and Grand Targhee ski resorts.

We stayed in one of the log cabins which had a separate double queen bedroom and living space including a small kitchen area. There was convenient parking right outside our cabin.

The kitchen was equipped with a microwave, a fridge with a small freezer section and a double hob. A collection of pans were provided along with cutlery and plastic crockery. We were very grateful for these facilities when I wasn't well during our stay. There is coffee and tea available at the reception area and a coffee maker in the room. We made a lot of use of the Jackson Whole Grocer at 974 W Broadway which had a great selection of organic and natural products.

There is hot air heating in the cabin and this was very effective.
The complex has a large indoor hot tub, and also has laundry facilities.

We had a couple of mornings of fresh snow, and the staff were out clearing the drive and pathways before we were up and about - a great service.

The Elk Country Inn is a short walk from the cafes, restaurants and shops of Jackson.

We stayed as we were in Jackson for a weeks skiing. Very clean cabin, cosy and warm. We had a good stay, great to have a log cabin and to wake up to fresh snow. The cabin had a little kitchen and equipment. We didn't actually cook because we at at Planet Palate, an awesome organic restauarant in town, but the fridge in the cabin was welcome.

Comfy bed and nice hot bath. We'd definately stay again. Washing machine and driers. Walking distance to town, near Post Office and a great find.

We loved this hotel. The rooms were nice-looking and clean. There was complimentary hot chocolate, coffee, and internet. The staff was very friendly. The inn does not offer breakfast, but Jackson is a good-sized town with plenty of dining options, the majority of which are within walking distance of the inn.
