The Jackson Hole Rodeo Grounds is not a place to come for food. Hamburgers and hot dogs of mediocre quality doesn't exactly impress. Eat at any number of excellent local restaurants before entering the rodeo grounds - you won't be missing any culinary pleasures inside.

I went for the covered seats, it was clear that just about everyone was a tourist but whatever, it was fun and I gained some more respect for the skill required in the sport of rodeo.

If you are expecting a professional rodeo like you see on TV then don't go. If you want to have a great time and experience a little of the old west then don't miss it. Went with my 10 year old son who is not exactly an animal lover. We loved it. Small arena so you can see everything. Good prices for food and drinks. (simple, typical ball game eats) We saw a 13 year old ride a crazy bucking bronco for 10 seconds before he could get off. That was worth it right there. Yes, sometimes the ropers miss or the horses don't buck as much as you would like but this is real live action folks. This rodeo reminded me of AAA baseball compared to the pros. Lots of fun, cheaper prices and hard working people. Book online & get the reserved seating.

The rodeo was very disappointing. It was definitely a waste of money and our time. It was just amateurish. Many bulls and broncos didn't buck, the ropers kept missing the calves, and the barrel racing was done by kids which were really just training in front of a live audience.

So glad we chose to go to the rodeo. Felt like one of the community; cheering on the kids running barrels, riding small bulls AND large bulls. Wonderful atmosphere. Take a blanket and buy some cocoa!
