Owner description: Grizzly Country Wildlife Adventures offers world class guided tours through Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park. Spend the day exploring Grand Teton National Park under the spectacular Teton Range looming overhead at 13,770 feet. Hear stories of fur trappers and mountain men that came into the valley to make a living and decided to lay down there hats in Jackson Hole and make a life in this sometimes harsh but beautiful climate. Make sure to keep a keen eye, there is nothing like being the first to spot one of the animals that reside in the Greater Yellowstone Eco System. Catching a black bear high up in a berry bush or spotting a Pronghorn, aka North Americas fastest land mammal, sprint through a meadow before your friends will definitely earn you some bragging rights on your trip! We will provide binoculars and your guide will set up a spotting scope so that you can see every little detail of these animals from a grizzly bear’s claws that can reach up to 4 inches long to the super soft velvet that cover the antlers of a moose’s paddles in the summer time. Or head up north into Yellowstone National Park and take in some 10,000 thermal features. You will see geysers that erupt 100 feet over your head and bacteria mats that are so colorful they rival fine art. Don’t worry about missing out on the animals listed above, they also call Yellowstone home and love to make an appearance on our tours. If you are lucky you could witness a bison taking a dust bath to keep away the bugs or watch a grizzly protect a fresh kill in the Hayden Valley. Americas first National Park covers an impressive 2,221,766 acres, so we want to make sure that you are well fed and comfortable throughout the 10-12 hour tour. Before you leave Jackson we will fuel up at a local coffee shop or market and just when the first tummy grumbles your guide will make a beautiful gourmet picnic lunch in one of the many pretty spots up in the park. We searched far and wide for a super comfortable ride to take our VIPS on tour and we landed in Ohio, home to the Explorer Van. Each of our Vans have leather captains chairs and raised roofs leaving you feeling like a million bucks at the end of a full day of touring. Yellowstone is like no place on earth making it a must see on your trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

“Go Grizzly!”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

What a delightful day we experienced with Jonathan Hunt and Grizzly Country Wildlife Adventures! Jonathan is knowledgeable, friendly and always in control. He gave us lots of history of the area and was always on the lookout for birds and wildlife including spotting a huge moose, prong horn sheep, and several eagles. Exceptional lunch -- no brown bag here. He and Jen are a great team and if you book with Grizzly you will NOT be disappointed!!

“Great day of adventure”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

First, my hat is off to our tour guide Daryl. He knew all the right spots; and was a wealth of information. We got mixed up in the middle of a traffic jam caused by a herd of bison. Lots of babies and their mothers. Then there were the elk. What a photo opp! A surprise high light was the picnic lunch. Meats, cheese, fruit, a huge croissant and cookies. This is a full day trip and worth it. Thanks Daryl.

“Kris Walker”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

Me, my friend, and her grandmother went on a trip to Yellowstone National Park with the tour guide Kris Walker. We saw Lewis Falls, Lewis Lake, Lewis Canyon, Hayden Valley, West Thumb Geyser Basin, Yellowstone Lake, Yellowstone River, the 300 foot lower falls, Mammoth Hot Springs, Obsidian Cliff, Mud Volcano, Twin Lakes, Roaring Mountain, Norris Geyser Basin, Beryl Springs, Madison Junction, and Old Faithful. He took us all the way to the top of Wyoming to see Mammoth Springs even though we were only supposed to go on a tour of the lower loop. Wonderful guy, extremely funny, amazing driver, very easy to get along with, and just a superb wealth of knowledge. There wasn't one question we asked that he couldn't answer. On top of all this, Kris Walker has an awesome eye. He spotted things that took me a few minutes to find with my binoculars. He knows exactly where to look to find wildlife. We saw 6 bears: a male black bear, a female black bear with her cub, a monster grizzly, and two juvenile grizzlies wrestling. As well as bears, we saw a mother moose and her calf, mule deer, tons of elk, bison, osprey, and a mountain goat up in its crevice in the mountain. I highly recommend this tour to anyone and everyone, it's very family oriented. You won't regret it, that's for sure. They know what they're doing at Grizzly Country. We'll definitely be coming back.

“Half day Grand Teton Tour”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

This tour was comfortable, informative and good for us first timers to get a feel of the land. Our guide was pleasant and very insightful as to when and where we would see wildlife, foliage and best shots of the mountains. I would highly suggest Grizzly Wildlife to anyone travelling the area!
